I have been living at Southpark on Whyte for more than 3 months and my experience has been amazing The ideal location close to everything and the river valley is a 10 minute walk away provides an opportunity for tranquil walks in nature The amenities are great too with the popup dog park nearby both cute and quiet The building itself is brand new and wellmaintained always clean peaceful with indoor garbage disposal eliminating the need to go outside My unit is spacious with lots of kitchen cupboard space windows that fill the apartment with natural light plus AC which isn't common to many Edmonton apartments which has been a blessing in this summer heat However what stands out most is management Vishal Tejas are always prompt reliable helpful and go above and beyond for tenants satisfaction The only con washing machine dryer are quite tiny I highly recommend choosing Southpark on Whyte as your home more ... hide ...

In June I signed the lease for a new apartment which my girlfriend and I were eager about Sadly we experienced bug bites less than a month after moving in We are clean people who did not bring these nuisances with us at first we did not even think they were bedbugs because we never actually saw them When we asked if there was any bedbug infestation in the building and ought to be concerned they told us an untruth and that became our last straw To break the lease I had to fight as they wanted me to pay 2700 After much debate I managed to have this fee dropped but their communication with me was poor all along Even now that I have already moved out three months ago they are still demanding 150 for an electricity bill from when I initially signed the lease but hadnt yet moved in fully although it totaled only 37 This truly made me angry since during final inspection the landlord said that room had been cleared of bedbugs beforehand while multiple other rooms were given pest notices with no actions being taken to stop its spread zero stars from me Never would rent from Boardwalk ever again more ... hide ...

It would be wise to avoid Boardwalk Properties as a rental option What I heard prior to moving in was accurate The customer service staff in the office were polite but they gave me false information I had agreed to a sixmonth lease which cost an extra 100 per month than it would have for a yearlong lease They knew from the start that I was buying a house and told me that I could move out when that happened without being charged for the remainder of the month or months however when I gave them one and a half months notice they said theyd still charge me for last month even if it was empty In addition they asked for an extra 200 on top of everything else and I couldnt use my bathroom sink from day one because it leaked and continued leaking after it supposedly got fixed The appliances were falling apart too It took two weeks just to get through to the property manager who said none of this mattered anyway Homeless people were sleeping inside of the building at night despite there supposedly being security onsite which turned out not to be true after 11pm furthermore there was furniture by the front door which had been thrown away by someone else but my husband ended up throwing it away himself since he got tired of looking at it all month long Cleaners only came around every three days so they didnt see any of this either My advice never rent from Boardwalk Properties private owners are much more caring and more ... hide ...
