When we moved to these apartments in 2015 we were initially enchanted with our new residence However the staff turnover was outrageous and we were intimidated by prior tenants and management Since they never presented us with a lease document as instructed the only thing keeping us here was our apartment itself In 20162017 though things began to change when a new Resident Manager came in she was fantastic and began restoring the building to its former glory Our Resident Manager listened carefully to all of our grievances and treated us respectfully The greatest improvement was when Tim and Tammy became part of the team going from being badly treated to feeling like family members We no longer remain here just because of our apartment its because of them This is an ideal living space quiet and peaceful although pets arent permitted which is a shame since some could really benefit from having service animals for support All in all we are ecstatic with our current team at Hollick Kenyon Apartments For any prospective tenants out there you wont regret your decision if you move here Lots of love from all at Hollick Kenyon Apartments more ... hide ...

We decided to give the year we lived here 4 stars as 3 wasnt quite fair The management was excellent when we had two leaking pipes and a heating problem during the holidays it was fixed promptly Even though there were bed bugs when our lease was almost over a professional exterminator came a week after we requested it The manager wasnt overly polite but got 2022-09-09T20:32:16Z
We decided to give the year we lived here 4 stars as 3 wasnt quite fair The management was excellent when we had two leaking pipes and a heating problem during the holidays it was fixed promptly Even though there were bed bugs when our lease was almost over a professional exterminator came a week after we requested it The manager wasnt overly polite but got the job done efficiently Most of our neighbours were decent people but after 6 months someone moved in who caused problems with sketchy people coming in and out of the building even finding a dirty knife in the hallway and an intoxicated drug user on the stairs However this stopped after some evictions and police calls You can learn to like this area Coliseum station is bad especially in winter yet youre close to LRT and other buses eg 8 104 102 In front of our building is a library with free books computers etc whilst across from us is 7Eleven for late night needs Theres Joy Ho for Asian food cravings plus Paraiso Tropical Latin market Kasoa African market etc Mona Lisa barpub for watching hockeybeerhamburgers too Furthermore supermarkets such as Freshco No Frills are just 5 minutes away on bus not forgetting Fatimas Brazilian grocery store where vegetables eggs dairy are cheapest yet highest quality Last but not least religious facilities such as churches or mosques are available nearby along with 2 more ... hide ...

This place is a complete nightmare Don't be deceived by the deceptive 31 star rating most of the 5 star ratings are from employees of the property management company The worst issue is that there has been active construction for over a year and its incredibly loud at times even loud enough to cause physical pain in your ears Additionally one of the two washer dryers didnt work for months making 16 units have to share one washer and dryer During winter despite being set to 23 degrees it struggled to keep the temperature above 17 degrees Things take forever to fix here like 4 months for a hole in the hallway wall or 2 months for a broken garbage shoot or 7 months for an unsealed window which I reported within my first 2 months already On our move out day even the elevator broke and after I moved out I still received emails about how it took almost a month more to get it fixed There were also quite frequent occurrences of us running into vagrants inside but whenever we reported them they were taken care of right away and some tenants on main floor smoked right outside their door which is illegal and caused bad smell everywhere near those doorsThe management is pretty impossible too deal with theyre not rude but they just ignore you instead I tried getting my rent lowered due to all these issues but they refused without any explanation whatsoever You would get an actual nice apartment if you paid this price instead of settling with this dump wearing makeup more ... hide ...
