It would be wise to avoid Boardwalk Properties as a rental option. What I heard prior to moving in was accurate. The customer service staff in the office were polite, but they gave me false information. I had agreed to a six-month lease (which cost an extra $100 per month than it would have for a year-long lease). They knew from the start that I was buying a house and told me that I could move out when that happened without being charged for the remainder of the month or months; however, when I gave them one and a half months' notice, they said they'd still charge me for last month even if it was empty. In addition, they asked for an extra $200 on top of everything else and I couldn't use my bathroom sink from day one because it leaked and continued leaking after it supposedly got fixed. The appliances were falling apart too. It took two weeks just to get through to the property manager who said none of this mattered anyway. Homeless people were sleeping inside of the building at night despite there supposedly being security onsite which turned out not to be true after 11pm; furthermore there was furniture by the front door which had been thrown away by someone else but my husband ended up throwing it away himself since he got tir It would be wise to avoid Boardwalk Properties as a rental option.
