We have been living here for more than a year and are ready to move on The building has nice amenities is trendy and centrally located but the finishes are cheap and management is disorganized with boxes and papers in their office even after a year We had maintenance issues that were not addressed properly for example we told them about the broken caulking in our shower which was letting water seep underneath likely leading to mold however they only attempted one fix before giving up They do not seem to care much about the structural health of the building or its tenants who may be exposed to hazardous mold Upon moving in we asked management if there would be any short term rentals they stated no but recently found out units on our floor are being rented out for short stays through Premiere Suites There is always someone new moving in without wearing masks also adding pandemic related risks as they have access to shared spaces like mailroom and parking garage with just a key fob The parking garage is too tight resulting in many cars getting damaged while trying to park including ours when we returned home one day finding an unknown car parked in it master list from the onsite rep was outdated with spots marked open occupied by other vehicles it took us almost an hour before finding a spot Doors including parking garage door break often there was water leaking from main corridor roof at one point and elevators frequently become unavailable for hours leaving only one working for entire building at times more ... hide ...

The location of the apartment to colleges universities and stores is a major pro along with the view of the experimental farm across the street and included electricity in rent However since a change in administration from Osgoode to Paramount has taken place some services have declined or been altered negatively For instance it is no longer possible to control heating temperatures there is a device on the walls which limits it but when temperatures drop below 20C inside can be cold Further for air conditioning during summer months there is an additional fee Additionally rodents have become an issue on roofs and walls although management claims they are doing all they can they attribute this problem to city regulations instead of their own The walls and floors are also thin meaning any noise made by neighbors can be heard throughout the building easily The parking system used by Osgoode was dismantled by Paramount when they began charging for visitor parking Snow removal services have also decreased since before two maintenance staff would perform this late at nightearly morning whereas now you must wait until late morning for a snow removal company to come through Garbage bins used to be stored everyday via motorbike yet now remain out in display blocking entrance roads into building area Two blocks away is a rough neighborhood where criminals come into the parking lot at night stealing license plates or smashing car windows multiple times annually with no interference from police or administration present To summarize monthly rent fee does not reflect quality given more ... hide ...

I lived here from December 15th 2015 to November 30th 2016 and it was the worst experience of my life On our first day the apartment was dirty and not fixed The Super Marion and her assistant Darren would always come to our door late at night asking to chat or demanding we let them in to fix a leak in the bathroom In summer they tried stopping us from installing an air conditioner At 6am Darren would mop the hallway floors so loudly it woke everyone up plus he put up random unofficial notices everywhere that almost sounded threatening One even stated that no one could leave anything in the lobby they must use the garbage out back or risk eviction Marion has also lied about allowing people to have dogs without muzzles Nathan Chang refused me entry for watching my grandmothers dog outside without one which Marion had okayed Darren seemed always to have a new escort at his door halfnaked I gave two months notice but then suddenly my heat turned off My mailbox has been broken since month two and there were tons of issues with this building Im very happy Im out of there too many rules for such a rundown place not worth it at all There is also a big cockroach problem and bedbugs stay away from this place total nightmare UPDATE September 2nd 2020 Visited a friend living here same as ever still garbage more ... hide ...

I cant say enough great things about Canterbury Square Building 810 From the initial contact with Frieda to signing the lease and moving in it has been an excellent experience Maintenance and office staff are friendly and helpful while Phil is a fantastic super I have had no issues that have not been addressed quickly and rent is more than reasonable Brenda 2022-09-27T11:32:17Z

Ive been living at the Saville Apartments for five years and its been an awful experience There is extensive water damage to at least one of the buildings plus mold in multiple units Many residents have had health issues due to the poor air quality and it takes forever to get work done I recently attempted to get someone in to repair a waterdamaged wall but after a week Im still left with a large hole and no report on any testing that was done for hazardous materials On two occasions doorknobs have fallen off once trapping me in the garbage room and another time locking me inside my own unit Property management changes constantly so nothing ever gets addressed or if something does happen its rarely completed or done properly Additionally we were told this was a nonsmoking building by one property manager during a tour however this is actually not true since we are regularly exposed to secondhand smoke through our windows and balconies all while management says smokers have the right to enjoy their balcony as they please The cost of rent has become out of control here in Ottawa so leaving isn't an option however AVOID THE SAVILLE APARTMENTS AT ALL COSTS more ... hide ...

I resided at Coach Tower for 8 months while I completed an internship in Ottawa The leasing agent and Primecorp agent were both friendly during the agreement process and we came to a consensus that they would rent to me so long as I found a sublet or lease takeover when my stay concluded In May of 2018 I moved into a onebedroom that was recently renovated however there were still some needed revisions which were listed on the move in notes eg balcony sliding screen was torn bedroom window didnt have one During the first month or two all went well besides these slight inconveniences yet after this point issues started to occur one after another For example there was a leak coming from above my unit and outside in the hallway which did not get fixed immediately even after I called the building manager Furthermore bed bugs had supposedly gotten into the building which turned out to be false but there was still another spraying conducted with only certain spots getting treated leaving me confused as to why this occurred if they had been dealing with it for so long Two months later we finally got an onsite super who addressed my door issues yet said window repairs couldnt be done until spring due to it being too late in the year if it had been taken care of back in May this wouldnt have been an issue To top things off when searching for potential lease takeovers management wanted them to pay over 400 more more ... hide ...

Im so glad I decided to move here The apartments and landlords I had previously were really bad so this building is a huge improvement My unit is the perfect size with tall ceilings lots of closet space and it was really clean when I moved in The whole building is kept very neat and tidy and the laundry room is especially nice But the best part has to be the 2022-09-27T13:02:19Z
