This is a living space I would not want even my worst enemy to experience The building has an abundance of fruit flies because the rental company wont spend money on window screens Maintenance staff try their best but the shared kitchen remains repulsive due to the lack of new sponges provided each year In addition the walls are very thin and one can easily hear their neighbours television or music without headphones at night The internet that comes with rent is so poor its almost not functional and you cant even upgrade your plan If considering moving in here its advised to look for a better place that costs less money This was absolutely the worst living situation I ever had no exaggeration more ... hide ...

I am very happy to have moved into 200 Rideau Terrace Champlain Towers within the last two months This is my first experience living in an apartment building and I could not be more pleased The apartment is roomy and offers a large balcony with a view of Rideau Terraces treeline It also has an abundance of closet space and the appliances are both modern and 2022-11-05T05:02:17Z
I am very happy to have moved into 200 Rideau Terrace Champlain Towers within the last two months This is my first experience living in an apartment building and I could not be more pleased The apartment is roomy and offers a large balcony with a view of Rideau Terraces treeline It also has an abundance of closet space and the appliances are both modern and stainless steel In addition there is an indoor pool that is great for swimming laps or just leisurely floating aroundFrom Day 1 I have been treated warmly by the onsite staff and management who made sure that my place was clean for move in day they are always willing to answer any questions I may have as well which makes settling in much easier The building itself has a peaceful atmosphere due to its inhabitants being mostly older people with some younger folks mixed in along with families too There are several parks near by along with bikingwalking trails close to the river plus we can easily access Beechwood Ave or take a walk downtown via St Patrick St bridge All things considered Im certainly glad that this was where I chose to call home more ... hide ...

The location of the building is truly great with a spectacular view The plaster walls and concrete floorswalls make the units relatively quiet compared to other buildings The rent is reasonable given the size and setting of the apartments Unfortunately Homestead the new owner is having difficulty running this place partly because of its poor condition due to inadequate maintenance by former owners but also because they are attempting to computerize the heating system remotely which has been causing issues since springsummer 2022 As renovations take place on rental units this results in constant construction noise for everyone else living thereTenants must pay for electricity but heat and air conditioning are included in their rentbut this does not include electricity used to run radiator fans that blow hotcold air into rooms In addition these buildings are outdated from late 1960s with temperamental systems running heatcooling and hot water so complications arise from timetotime one example being 9 days out of 30 without fully hot water coming out of all taps in MayJune 2022 On top of that half a lobby has been turned into an office space meaning less room for residents to socialize with each otherThe air conditioning functions well when it works properly yet chiller pumps supplying cold water through radiators during summer have become unreliable over recent years meanwhile windows tend to leak which causes paint and plaster around them to fall off as well as water seeping into concrete ledges and more ... hide ...

Im currently residing in my boyfriends one bedroom apartment with our 7 week old son due to the fact that power is out at my apartment and other residents apartments Last week Hazelview sent a notice stating theyd be turning off power and water for 12 hours and advising us to make other arrangements Unfortunately the power didnt come back on for many of us a 2022-09-27T14:32:17Z
Im currently residing in my boyfriends one bedroom apartment with our 7 week old son due to the fact that power is out at my apartment and other residents apartments Last week Hazelview sent a notice stating theyd be turning off power and water for 12 hours and advising us to make other arrangements Unfortunately the power didnt come back on for many of us and we were told nothing would be done about it until the next day This is just one of many issues Ive had living here for a year now The staff working here are superb but can only do so much or provide limited information they probably receive an overwhelming number of complaints daily Most tenants are wonderful its only Hazelview thats mismanaged as they treat their occupants with little regard and communication from them is abysmal Notices concerning building maintenance come in frequently making it hard to have a tranquil life here If possible move elsewhere Resident Relations no need to leave a comment since I already emailed you all more ... hide ...
