This two-bedroom apartment, which is priced at a hefty $1200+, is in a dilapidated state and swarming with cockroaches and bed bugs. The landlord does not care to make repairs or take any steps to mitigate the bug infestation. What's more, visitors are not allowed overnight and there is no parking for them available either; the whole building has a prison-like atmosphere. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

The landlord at this place doesn't care about the bugs—roaches and bedbugs—in almost every unit, and they'll even lie about it. Living there was a nightmare! The elevator was broken the entire time I lived there and it's in one of Ottawa's worst ghettos (besides Vamier). The only upside is that if you live in the basement, you'll probably just burn to death if a fire happens because of all the jail-like bars on the windows. Plus, their parking lot is always filled with garbage. Although they lie or omit details about bugs, their staff are great (apart from the landlord), including a friendly super as long as you don't cause problems by lying. There are also many cameras protecting both the parking lot and building which are monitored daily. I wouldn't move back there even if someone paid my rent for free!

The Super (Marion) and her assistant Darren would always come to our door late at night asking to chat or demanding we let them in to fix a leak in the bathroom. In summer they tried stopping us from installing an air conditioner! At 6am Darren would mop the hallway floors so loudly it woke everyone up, plus he put up random unofficial notices everywhere that almost sounded threatening. One even stated that no one could leave anything in the lobby - they must use “the garbage out back” or risk eviction! Marion has also lied about allowing people to have dogs without muzzles; Nathan Chang refused me entry for watching my grandmother's dog outside without one (which Marion had okayed). Darren seemed always to have a new "escort" at his door half-naked... I gave two months' notice but then suddenly my heat turned off! My mailbox has been broken since month two and there were tons of issues with this building. I'm very happy I'm out of there; too many rules for such a run-down place – not worth it at all!
