I have been living in this building for nearly four years and I am writing this after the misguided reviews of the building It is important to note that this is a large residential building not a hotel and it would be impossible to find better accommodation at such a location for the same priceThe location is excellent it is situated between three metro stations Atwater Concordia and George Vanier which are all within seven minutes walk There are buses heading in every direction of Montreal surrounding the area as well as three major supermarkets IGA PA and Adonis all within seven minutes walk from Alexis Nihon Mall Furthermore there are fourfive universities and colleges within seven minutes walking distance plus plenty of grocery shops cafes and pharmacies24 hour security guard on site with surveillance systems in place along with quick repairs when needed air conditioning units installed throughout the building along with an indoor pool and sauna too The new building manager Diana has been doing an impressive job of maintaining the big premises after suffering due to COVID19 lockdowns impact over a short period Note ensure you leave your room as clean as you received it if you want to avoid any unwanted pests Additionally please be mindful when using common areas there are thousands of other people living here respect them so they can do likewise in return Update June 2022 unfortunately elevators break down almost daily resulting in long more ... hide ...

I have been living in Luna an excellent apartment building in downtown Montreal for almost five years and I just renewed my lease It is right across from the Faculty of Law at McGill University and a short walk away from Mount Royal There are plenty of reasons why I enjoy living there Despite not being connected to the management in any way heres why its such a great place The location is superb Sherbrook Street has some nice hotels museums galleries and shops which will open again once the pandemic ends Plus there are lots of cafes bistros and bars on Peel as well as shopping centres on SaintCatherine St W Additionally for what you get its great value no promises made that werent fulfilled Coming from a large city like Chicago this was especially important to me the building has many amenities and services plus an amazing staff that is always willing to help out with requests Though not newly constructed it has had updates done windows were replaced as well as balconies which needed renovating due to Montreals winter weather conditions causing wear over time plus these renovations caused minor disruption but didnt take away from all its benefits such as cost efficiency or proximity to some of the best parts of town In fact due to this situation Ive been able to do some of my best work while based in my apartment here more ... hide ...

It is best to steer clear of 18 Deerfield After raising three issues Minto failed to address any of them It seemed like a lot of people were living in the apartment above us and they would blast loud music with a subwoofer late at night disregarding our complaints To make matters worse Minto does not have security on the premises starting January 2018 so whe 2022-10-10T03:02:19Z
It is best to steer clear of 18 Deerfield After raising three issues Minto failed to address any of them It seemed like a lot of people were living in the apartment above us and they would blast loud music with a subwoofer late at night disregarding our complaints To make matters worse Minto does not have security on the premises starting January 2018 so when an alarm was going off for 6 hours in the parking lot below they couldnt do anything about it Additionally furniture infested with bed bugs are often left outside the building and weve been bitten by them recently Not only that but someone had even taken the bed buglabeled furniture back into one of the floors We lost our personal items after this incident and tried to get Minto to pay for some damage but without success Avoid Minto if you want to avoid all these headaches more ... hide ...

Moved into the building in 2018 and for the past 34 years there has been almost constant noise during the day due to demolition and construction Minto tries to make up for this by sending out notices but it isn't enough The superintendent is friendly and helpful but he can only do so much as he lacks materials or funding from Minto In terms of renovations they are superficial with no new windows or doors which desperately need replacing instead they use their money on curb appeal like updating gardenslawns lobbies that don't need updating entries etc without telling potential tenants about the issues inside There are numerous other problems such as water being shut off often due to leaky pipes poor Bell service quality since theres no fiber available unreliable laundry machines that take your money yet don't do their job and mold growing back in walls because of leaking pipes that have not been fixed properly however they seem to be able handle cockroach and bedbug issues fairly well by containing them through pest control Despite all this effort though it is not enough to change this review if you contact the property manager about any of these critical issues you wont receive help as he does not show interest in addressing them more ... hide ...

The maintenance service I have received from Meadowlands apartments has been the WORST in my three years of living there Six months ago they required me to list items that needed repair Afterward all communication ceased I was unable to reach Parkwood Hill office due to a new system and the helpline gave no help saying only that a coordinator would call me back but this never happened Finally after three months with no response the coordinator called and said she would check on my request but again nothing came of it In addition they took too long to fix my kitchen faucet issue so much so that they had to replace the countertop Even though I like this apartment complex and its community I am extremely unhappy with its management more ... hide ...
