Moved into the building in 2018 and for the past 3-4 years, there has been almost constant noise during the day due to demolition and construction. Minto tries to make up for this by sending out notices but it isn't enough. The superintendent is friendly and helpful but he can only do so much as he lacks materials or funding from Minto. In terms of renovations, they are superficial with no new windows or doors which desperately need replacing; instead, they use their money on curb appeal like updating gardens/lawns, lobbies (that don't need updating), entries etc. without telling potential tenants about the issues inside. There are numerous other problems such as water being shut off often due to leaky pipes, poor Bell service quality since there's no fiber available, unreliable laundry machines that take your money yet don’t do their job and mold growing back in walls because of leaking pipes that have not been fixed properly; however they seem to be able handle cockroach and bedbug issues fairly well by containing them through pest control.
