We decided to give the year we lived here 4 stars, as 3 wasn't quite fair. The management was excellent; when we had two leaking pipes and a heating problem during the holidays it was fixed promptly. Even though there were bed bugs when our lease was almost over, a professional exterminator came a week after we requested it. The manager wasn't overly polite but got the job done efficiently. Most of our neighbours were decent people but after 6 months someone moved in who caused problems with sketchy people coming in and out of the building; even finding a dirty knife in the hallway and an intoxicated drug user on the stairs! However, this stopped after some evictions and police calls. You can learn to like this area; Coliseum station is bad especially in winter yet you're close to LRT and other buses (e.g 8, 104 & 102). In front of our building is a library with free books, computers etc., whilst across from us is 7Eleven for late night needs! There's Joy Ho for Asian food cravings plus Paraiso Tropical (Latin market), Kasoa (African market) etc., Mona Lisa bar/pub for watching hockey/beer/hamburgers too!
