Prior to viewing, I was very optimistic after reading the reviews; however, they were outdated. The maintenance man, "Gary," ended up showing us the suite which was a horrible decision on management's part. The office manager Donna had been great in past interactions but was not available to show and had just started at this property a week ago. Gary was rude and unfriendly and refused to answer my questions; he mentioned that children under 12 weren't allowed (which is false). He judged my son who has special needs for not behaving as a 12 year old (he has severe epilepsy) and I felt like I didn't need to explain his medical history during our first visit. When asking about handicapped parking, Gary replied with "this probably won't work for you!" His statements were quite insulting including when he said they stopped cleaning the parking lots because salting ice does nothing and carpets are only replaced if there is heavy strain or animal urine/hair issues. He also insulted the new office manager. Being a teacher who has lived in my current place for 6 years, I wasn't impressed by his attitude or professionalism which made me want to leave right away.

Living in this building since June 2018, I find it to be clean, quiet and friendly. Management is quick to respond to maintenance requests, snow removal is efficient and the parking area always tidy. My unit is so cozy with a fireplace for chilly winter & summer nights; I also have in-suite laundry and no bug issues! What's more, the balconies are huge - some people even put an entire outdoor living room set on theirs! The neighbourhood has a safe atmosphere day or night; the building itself has one side residential and other commercial (i.e. Rexall), as well as elevator access which makes life easier for those with mobility issues or when moving furniture etc. Another resident has been here 10+ years and loves it too - many people take pride in their home by tending their plants & plugging in balcony lights during summertime which gives the complex a nice look. If I remain a renter rather than home owner, I'd likely stay here due to all of its benefits; the only thing that could be better would be if the storage/laundry room was slightly bigger but that's such a minor negative compared to everything else!
