The new building is absolutely lovely The appliances layout and flooring are all great and the balconies are a good size Most of the tenants here are polite and respectful Its very quiet despite having dogs and children living in the building Theres also a gym and games room that makes it even better Shopping is close by too which is convenient Matthew has done an amazing job as manager Unfortunately though it seems like the builder was more concerned with water features at the main entrance than security cameras throughout to keep everyone safe especially in underground parking so that visitors can park without worry of being towed away for not having a spot designated for them specifically which should have been there from day one A recycling bin near mailboxes would be another great addition as well Everything is kept clean by Patty who does an excellent job cameras around would help catch those few people who don't bother cleaning up after themselves or their dogs peeing everywhere more ... hide ...

Weve been living here for a long time To give credit where its due the suites are spacious and luminous and the location is great The property sold about a year ago and then some months later the element in our oven ceased to function since the stove was already 15 years old it wasnt worth fixing What we got as replacement was a dirty used one from one of the recently renovated suitesthe handle screws were stripped so it kept coming apart We complained but all that we were offered was an another old stove taken from another suite whose Tennant had stayed there for nearly 10 yearssuch an affront Weve been living in this complex for more than 20 years now this particular suite has been ours for 10 years We take good care of our place pay rent on time exactly what any landlord could wish for in their Tennants I feel so unappreciated by not being provided with a new stove which would cost around 700 Truly sad if you ask me more ... hide ...

The area is sketchy and dangerous our vehicles were broken into three times in six months I witnessed someone pepperspraying four people outside the property and there was even a home invasionsuicide in one of the units nearby Management lied to us about having two parking stalls with power that we could see from our unit which was a major selling point for us when we asked for it to be put on the lease they said no need as its free but then told us we couldnt park there They ignored our requests for months until we interrupted them multiple times before finally getting no resolution The parking lots are not cleared adequately so finding a spot is difficult homeless people rummage through the trash and spread it around too Our unit was very old five water leaks occurred two from sewage from an adjacent unit dead bugs were kept in jars left by previous tenants vents were full of debris that had been there probably years until we asked for them to be cleaned also no lights except kitchen and bathroom as well as poor ventilation in bathroom which had a window in bathtub so covered with frosted glass Avoid this rental they are slumlords copy paste responses saying they couldnt find me as resident showed their lack of concern about negative experience since 250 units can easily be filled due to rent incentives and inexpensive area more ... hide ...

My wife and I lived at Capital Place from 20002021 during which time we witnessed three management changes We have never been in arrears of our rent due to being both seniors with medical ailments Pros Our twobedroom flat was always comfortable and free of bedbugspests this is one of the few apartment buildings in Clareview to have an elevator hall carpets are vacuumed daily other tenants are amiable close to shops and public transport Rent is reasonable Management has treated us fairly for the most part and repairs were conducted promptly with minimal fuss Cons No pets allowed so if youre thinking of renting a unit facing the green space be aware that children from other units not Capital Place will be playing out there loudly 11ammidnight every day except school nights unless youre fond of kids or don't mind noise this could be an issue more ... hide ...
