I would not recommend this building at all it gave me nothing but trouble during my year living there It was full of bedbugs and cockroaches and the management only seemed to care about you before you signed the lease After that their mission seemed to be to make your life miserable

Poor management in this great place The supervisors stay all day in the office with their lights off only coming out for smoking breaks and bathroom runs Despite the buildings potential it is difficult with this kind of invisible leadership The building has been painted but it remains dirty and the grounds are neglected There is garbage everywhere and of course no visible superintendents Centurion needs to take action the latest notice on the bulletin board is from July 2021 To make matters worse they hired a landscaper who butchered all of the grass on Sunday weeds were seen as ornamental plants Bikes are parked near the entrance every night and nobody takes care of keeping weeds out of the ornamental gravel If someone wants to call them they will be harassed by their staff No thank you everyone knows how they work which is why many people have left this building A AAA company was here to clean carpets but they remain dirty mats are still worn and dogs are urinating in lobbieselevators yet no action has been taken Notices from lobby show July 2021 date so probably nothing new there eithermany notices arrive too late no 24 hour minimum or nothing happens afterwards like line painting which makes people guess at parking linesnumbers Fix these issues then maybe someone will call Centurion more ... hide ...

This particular building and management was the worst I have ever encountered In a single month we had three or four cases of car windows being broken into in the underground parking resulting in items being stolen from the vehicles In fact even my large package that had been shipped to my correct address was taken by a thief When I called to inform management of this issue I was met with rudeness as they kept saying it wasnt their responsibility and people were just leaving items out for thievery I asked what kind of security this was and the answer was simply I don't know It left us feeling unsafe living there if nothing is done about theft outside now it will eventually make its way inside our homes The staff member then suggested that people shouldnt leave wallets in their cars if they didnt want them stolen as if its our fault for someone breaking into our property We always pay our rent including parking on time yet we are still not given respect or protection where we live This post is written out of frustration due to the lack of care from management and other tenants having similar issues but no action being taken on them either more ... hide ...

We had an unpleasant experience when we visited the Highmont in Kitchener We arrived 10 minutes before the appointment however there was no front desk to be found After knocking on a basement window to seek entrance a tenant informed us that we would most likely be speaking with Chris who may have been asleep We proceeded through the filthy stairwell up to the top level and knocked on the door several times without success all our attempts to contact Chris and the listing company from Highmont had failed as well Finally we met him he seemed like he just woke up and was not dressed appropriately for his job nor was he respectful towards us He asked us to wait in the parking lot for him so that he could show us around this came after being told by another tenant that Chris does not usually respond to anyone at all let alone open his door Despite this misstep we entered into a familys home where children were present while Chris took us through each room including one with sleeping babies and toddlers on it This entire experience left our group feeling disgusted and appalled do not trust anything you see online photos simply do not do justice here at Highmont Belmont Street Kitchener Its no wonder why their two bedroom apartments are so cheapnobody should have to live in such conditions more ... hide ...

The apartment is clean and wellmaintained with no bug issues However there are a few things to be aware of 1 Onboarding took too long and documents had to be sent multiple times 2 The hydrogaswater bills are high in winter it can reach up to 300380 and during summer 250280 even without using a dishwasher 3 The gym is very small for the whole building only enough for 24 people at one time 4 There are many rules about what can and cannot be done here 5 They dictate what can be kept in the balcony that you pay for but this wont be told when signing the agreement anything not furniture is considered a fire hazard 6 In wintertime the parking lot was not cleared properly with snow stored in paid spots so we often had to park in visitors parking 7 Visitors parking is only paid parking which is also seen in other apartments managed by this company 8 They try to present themselves as modern upscale apartments but really its like any other new apartment rent increases substantially along with parking costs and hydro bills being upscale too 9 Delivery packages have been stolen from or damaged due to poor parcel room planning before they added locks later on 10 Storage room was unavailable due to lack of storage cages for the whole apartment so winter tires had to go elsewhere not allowed on balconies 11 Lastly the building manager more ... hide ...

This is an honest review of living in this building for the past twelve months Pros Management is always friendly helpful and quick to address issues Superintendents are very attentive to concerns and have been professional and polite Cons Parking for visitors is practically nonexistent my cars catalytic converter was stolen while in the lot so security must be minimal or nonexistent The laundry room has a nasty smell of feces piles of dirty clothing sitting around many machines not working properly clothes that come out stinking and stained forcing us to take them elsewhere to be cleaned Water pressure and temperature are always inconsistent trying to shower at a desired temp is like trying to pick a hard lock in Skyrim Recently they began expanding the parking lot which will last all summer This construction noise will make your days miserable from 8am5pm and sometimes on weekends Lastly even though we keep our place immaculate weve still had bedbugs biting us during sleep vacuumingsteam cleaning barely help with this issue In conclusion proceed with caution before renting here more ... hide ...

If you are looking for tranquility this is not the place to be Don't let the lobby fool you it is the only area where they installed a small AC unit The hand sanitizer dispenser has been empty for almost a year now I think it is just for show Even on the first floor just pass through the lobby and into the living area hallway and you will witness what this building is really like Remind yourself that there are regular water shutoffs and this building is constantly in a state of construction leaving you vulnerable to being woken up by loud noises from said construction Parking has since become offsite its about 20 minutes away from here on foot resulting in 40 minute round trips if needed On top of that there are weekly 8 hour water shut offs as well as alarm tests which can be quite disruptive due to their frequency In addition room inspections occur with less than 24 hours notice twice or more times per month recently they have even given afternoonnight notices followed by entering rooms very early next morning Moreover 200 metal poles were added to reinforce underground parking which raises questions regarding safety Furthermore waiting times for an elevator can drag out too long and people have even been stuck in them for hours at a time multiple times in one yearAlexandrian staff don't tell prospective tenants about any of these issues when they try renting places here so ask around and do your research The old more ... hide ...

When we initially moved in to the apartment complex it seemed like a great place with renovated facilities and friendly staff However soon after the staff changed and everything started to worsen In addition all of the socalled renovations were merely superficial coverups of decaying conditions in the building and getting any maintenance was impossible These issues would still have been tolerable had it not been for an extreme cockroach infestation We did all that we could to rid our unit of them but as they werent treating the whole building our efforts were futile Our unit was sprayed multiple times in addition to us taking our own measures against them yet on our last day there cockroaches were still present both inside and outside of our apartment indicating a much bigger problem To get rid of these roaches completely you need an efficient exterminator who will treat all parts of the high rise or else it wont go away Although inexpensive this should serve as a warning for potential renters here be aware more ... hide ...
