When we initially moved in to the apartment complex, it seemed like a great place with renovated facilities and friendly staff. However, soon after the staff changed and everything started to worsen. In addition, all of the so-called renovations were merely superficial cover-ups of decaying conditions in the building and getting any maintenance was impossible. These issues would still have been tolerable had it not been for an extreme cockroach infestation. We did all that we could to rid our unit of them but as they weren't treating the whole building, our efforts were futile. Our unit was sprayed multiple times in addition to us taking our own measures against them yet on our last day there cockroaches were still present both inside and outside of our apartment - indicating a much bigger problem. To get rid of these roaches completely you need an efficient exterminator who will treat all parts of the high rise or else it won't go away. Although inexpensive, this should serve as a warning for potential renters here - be aware!

In February, I moved in and discovered the heater on the ground floor had stopped working. Later that summer, I found out the air conditioning upstairs was broken. The university charged me an undergraduate parking fee for a different building. Furthermore, there was a leak in the drainpipe which ran down to my windshield and it took them three months to repair it. Even though I vacated on February first, they still charged me for that month; then took another three months to return my money. If only I were a building manager with plenty of free time so I could take them to court! All in all, be wary of them so you won't have to go through such ordeals.

Moving into Mooregate apartments has been an excellent experience since the beginning. The property manager was amazing, helping us through the entire procedure: from applying to viewing the unit and finally moving in. When we arrived on move-in day, our property manager checked up on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. He also made sure that the elevator was booked and that our unit was spotless upon arrival. We are grateful for his attentiveness and assistance; he has been a pleasure to work with!
