I lived in York House for almost two years with my dog Josephine and absolutely loved it The management and maintenance team did a great job of keeping the common areas clean removing icesnow from sidewalks swiftly and even repaired my faucet quickly when I needed it They also notify tenants if they need to do something like test the fire alarm or plow the parking lot emails are sent out as well as signs put up in elevators so people arent taken by surprise Everyone who works there is really friendly too A hot tip the views on the East side are great since theres no building blocking them Unfortunately I had to move because my pup was anxious due to all of other dogs living in York House its definitely fun but might not be ideal if your pet gets overwhelmed easily Out of all five apartments Ive lived in this one was definitely my favourite so I highly recommend it more ... hide ...

The view was beautiful however property photos don't show the hot tub has been moved to the other side of the deck and doesnt have a direct view of the narrows Theres condensation between window panes which blocks bottom half of large picture window no one can sit and enjoy it either The deck is in disrepair some lumber was replaced but not restained It isn' 2022-09-24T10:02:18Z
The view was beautiful however property photos don't show the hot tub has been moved to the other side of the deck and doesnt have a direct view of the narrows Theres condensation between window panes which blocks bottom half of large picture window no one can sit and enjoy it either The deck is in disrepair some lumber was replaced but not restained It isn't very inviting or pleasing with red Tuck tape on its previously damaged hot tub cover making it look bad and impacting experience Be careful when walking barefoot as nails have loosened due to decaying wood and may hurt your feet therere also beer bottle caps and other garbage from past guests around The master bedroom is comfortable with kingsized bed pillows sheets but floors are heavily scratched and stained losing hardwood stain in some places with portable ac unit vented through wet blinds by window next to bed In bathroom there are cracked toilet seat mended with scotch tape used bottles of shampoo shower gel contrary to what property descriptions say about ideal romantic getaway or executive downtown suites Kitchenette provides communal sugar instant coffee inappropriate during pandemic plus accessing ice requires dipping hands into bucket meant for dispensing ice cubes which could be unhygienic if someone washed their hands before touching them Ad claimed dining table for 4 along with dishes essential cookware but there werent enough bowls mugs for all plus table wasn more ... hide ...

We were delighted to find out how nice this place was Its a 1000 square foot apartment with a full kitchen living room and kingsized bedroom Its very tidy nicely decorated and clean You have your own entrance at street level with a keypad lock there is plenty of parking behind the building and on the street in front we had the spot right in front of the doo 2022-10-08T12:32:17Z

I lived at this location from 20182021 Pros it had a great spot dog park walking trails grocery store and circle drive the building was reasonably secure although I didnt feel totally safe when the outside doors werent locking and there were occasions of nonresidents entering or loitering in the lobby however it got fixed and became less of an issue Staff members I encountered were usually quite friendly but new ones seemed to be rotating in all the time near my stays end Cons you had to pay a lot to have a dog but without much benefit felt less welcome as my tenure progressed but wont get into that here Additionally some people could be scared of your pup even if theyre just minding their own business instances like kids running away screaming when we walked up stairs on sidewalks or out of elevators could lead to barking or biting Itd be beneficial if there was better communication with nonpet owners about dogs living there plus maybe some pamphlets teaching them how to act around canines since people from different countries may have different viewsexperiences with them When I moved out I received lots of fees regarding my damage deposit which often werent because of me not taking care eg badunfinished patch jobs on walls paint drips or broken blinds shouldve been recorded by management during our walkthrough so remember not just being courteous but documenting everything more ... hide ...

Ive really enjoyed my time at Southgate Apartments Patricia was incredibly accommodating taking all necessary COVID19 protocols while showing me around the apartment and then thoroughly explaining the deposit and incentives upon moving in The living experience has been great she keeps the place very clean and is always available to help whenever I need it Though there is some noise from motorcycleslifted trucks during summer nights on Sask Drive and 104th the view of downtown from either side of the building more than makes up for it I have a few friends who live here as well so much so that I recommended one to move in here too Plus Ive made some new acquaintances among my neighbours everyone is friendly and inviting All things considered Im definitely planning on staying here again when given the chance more ... hide ...
