Having lived in these buildings for a dozen years there isn't much positive to say about the experience Initially the building managers seemed responsive friendly and genuinely good people However following that first year everything changed competent managers were replaced by a couple who ran it like their own little kingdom demanding rent in cash on the second of each month and making threatening phone calls in response to work orders Moreover they blamed repairs on new tenants and Homestead didnt take action despite receiving multiple complaints because it saved them money by never spending a dime on the place The current managers are just as hard to deal with They don't address serious issues such as mouldy windows or loose carpets but we suspect one of them was entering our unit uninvited and going through our stuff mainly electronics and drawers Additionally they spread lies about me having anger issues Other problems include getting rent receipts yearly being a hassle parking situation is mismanaged elevators bring you to wrong floor often doors wont move due to poor wheelchair devices pool preCOVID not cleaned well or openedclosed randomly COVIDleash policies not enforced at all I could go on but theres character limit here My advice avoid these buildings unless you have no other choice particularly considering how much theyre charging for rent now double what I paid for an apartment thats nowhere near worth it more ... hide ...

This place is terrible and should be avoided at all costs The supernatant acts as if youre living there for free when in reality you are paying rent Furthermore the building is extremely old and anything that breaks will result in a screaming tirade from the supernatant Lastly your bedroom window has been locked shut so you cant open it on top of that the k 2022-10-11T13:32:17Z

I lived in this apartment for about six months before I realized that the quality wasnt worth the high price The onsite building superintendent was very attentive and easy to reach so I didnt have any problems in that regard The management company however was horrendous it was impossible to get a hold of them after they had my money When I first saw the unit it looked brand new with newly installed floors and kitchen however on movein day there were urine stains in the bathroom and food splatter all over the appliances while the floors were damaged by paint We couldnt move into an unclean unit so we had to go back to our old place and lose all that money for movers and trucks We asked for compensation but no one replied throughout those six months all they did was replace a few sections of flooring but damage still remained It turned out contractors had been using our unit as their hangout spot which explained why things were so shoddily done cupboards falling off when opened towel racks coming off walls terrible water pressure from shower etc plus they needed access to us every other week which made it unbearable Despite its great location this experience ended up being really bad overall After seeing my comment about them publicly attempting to cover things up instead of actually responding properly I will contact them again with an update on their response afterwards more ... hide ...

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the Laurel Apts All the appliances were in good working order and if there were any issues the landlord responded quickly It is a great location for walking The Bridgeport Plaza is right across the street Princess Cinemas 7 Shores Cafe Library and Uptown Waterloo are all within 57 minutes away If you like to run or jog 2022-10-28T15:02:20Z

If you want an apartment that is wellmaintained quiet and serene with a manager who is topnotch andprofessional Rebecca as well as very approachable then this is the place for you Kudos to Rebecca for being so responsive to maintenance requests and for keeping everything so tidy
