I am very happy to have moved into 200 Rideau Terrace, Champlain Towers, within the last two months. This is my first experience living in an apartment building and I could not be more pleased. The apartment is roomy and offers a large balcony with a view of Rideau Terrace's tree-line. It also has an abundance of closet space and the appliances are both modern and stainless steel. In addition, there is an indoor pool that is great for swimming laps or just leisurely floating around. From Day 1 I have been treated warmly by the on-site staff and management who made sure that my place was clean for move in day; they are always willing to answer any questions I may have as well which makes settling in much easier. The building itself has a peaceful atmosphere due to its inhabitants being mostly older people with some younger folks mixed in, along with families too. There are several parks near by along with biking/walking trails close to the river; plus we can easily access Beechwood Ave or take a walk downtown via St Patrick St bridge! All things considered, I'm certainly glad that this was where I chose to call home!

I had the pleasure of living in this building for a year but am now relocating to downtown. It is kept in great condition and the amenities are quite nice. Pros: clean, large laundry room with many machines, 3 elevators (1 usually not working once a month), air-conditioning included in rent, indoor pool also large and clean, party room also spacious, my bachelor apartment had plenty of storage space, balconies are very large and well lit, nearby access to #6 bus (which goes to Market and Bank street), view of Gatineau Hills on North side & cityscape on South side; community atmosphere mainly with older tenants & rent really reasonable. Cons: management can be bothersome - since it's a big building they post lots of rules/fill out surveys which don't always apply; if you're not into dogs there are many around as occupants have pets - I personally love them so it wasn't an issue for me; electricity bills paid through 3rd party. Overall it's a great place to live.
