Andante Apartments

4.1

I recently toured this apartment community while helping my son look for a new place, and we had a great experience. The property was clean, well maintained, and had a really welcoming feel. The apartments were nice, and the amenities and overall community really stood out to us. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions without making us feel rushed or pressured. As a parent, I also appreciated feeling comfortable with the community and where my son would potentially be living. Overall, we were very impressed with the property and the entire touring experience. Definitely one of our top choices!

My experience at Adante Apartments has been great overall. Maintenance — 5 Stars The maintenance crew deserves top marks across the board. They respond immediately and take care of everything I ask for. During the day, they can address issues within a very short window, and I've consistently been impressed by their ability to show up and handle my needs promptly. I've been here for a couple of years, and that standard hasn't slipped. Property Management — 5 Stars The on-site management team has also been very responsive. They've done a great job keeping me informed about policies, procedures, and anything else I've needed to navigate as a resident. MG Properties Corporate Policies — Area for Improvement My one area of dissatisfaction is with MG Properties' renewal pricing practices. When it comes time to renew, there is no flexibility to lower rent — even when comparable units elsewhere may be priced lower. The options are essentially a flat rate or an increase. While I understand market-based pricing, some accommodation for long-term residents would go a long way. Overall: The people at this property — management and maintenance alike — are genuinely five stars. My only critique is at the corporate policy level, not with the property itself.

This is honestly the best apartment ever. I love lived here since October 2024 and I don’t plan on moving any time soon. The rent pricing is great for the area, the units themselves are all very nice and it feels more like a home than an apartment. The office staff are all outstanding and have been so helpful to me since day one and made applying super easy. My neighbors are all nice and it’s very quiet. The complex is very well maintained. Grass is always cut at least once a week, trash is never overflowing, they run a very tight ship, it’s really impressive. They also have no bugs whatsoever. I haven’t had a single bug in my apartment the entire time I’ve been here. Lastly the maintainer staff is absolutely phenomenal. They respond to maintenance request always within 2-3 hours and they do great work. I don’t think that any other complex in Ahwatukee really competes with it because this apartment seriously has it all. If you are looking to rent in the area, I highly recommend this place!

DO NOT MOVE HERE !I lived at Andante for several years, and despite my efforts to keep my home pristine, I’m leaving disappointed. I told management countless times that I don’t allow shoes on my carpet. I even had a sign. Yet maintenance—and even fire inspection crews—ignored this, coming in with dirty boots. Now, upon moving out, they’re charging me $500+ for carpet repair. I did everything to keep it clean, and they disregarded it. If you value respect for your home, think twice about living here.

Current resident of 3 years now, I debated on 2 or 3 stars. My experience has been overall mostly good/neutral so I went with 3. Lately though, the complex has been disappointing. First, my rent has not changed since I moved in which sounds positive, but really the rent for my specific unit has decreased over time and is listed for ~$200 less than I pay. (Pic 1 & 2). There have been no updates to my unit, which I think is typical, but it’s unfortunate and looks like a money grab on long term residents. :( I’ve emailed asking for things to be updated, like new blinds since mine are sun bleached and turning yellow, but they don’t reply. There’s some other things money wise; crazy late fees, price vs what you get, unexplained misc charges, but I’ve seen those at other places too. Next, and this is the one that really upsets me, the complex no longer feels safe and it doesn’t seem like management is doing anything besides putting it back on the residents. It’s just me and my young child in our apartment, and we’ve had two emails like the one attached (pic 3) in the last week or so. Even though they’re having security/safety issues, the front gate is always open (even overnight) and the walking gates do not automatically close, so those are always open too. We are close to a gate and I just don’t feel safe. It’s really disappointing because I picked this complex, even though they charge hundreds more than ones right next door, because it felt safe. They could post “security patrol” signs, ensure their gates shut, add additional lighting or cameras, but I think there’s a lot of greed involved here. The positives: maintenance is always nice, the main pool area is really nice, no bugs, usually quiet, and when you *can* get ahold of management they’re typically nice, too. I think there’s been a change in management within the last couple years and it definitely is starting to show. Katie did my tour years ago and she is still around and very kind! Not a fan of Hanna the AI bot, though. It’s been mostly good for us, but I don’t think we’ll stay here much longer.
