Our purpose
Friendly Landlord helps renters understand apartment communities through clear, practical information from official property and management sources. We bring supported details about layouts, rental costs, fees, policies and community features into one place so renters can more easily understand their options and contact the property directly.
Quality over quantity
Our listing standards require a verified community name, address, official website and published contact phone. We research official community websites and verified property-management sources. An operator-linked leasing service is used only when its official relationship and purpose can be verified. We leave out unsupported details rather than fill gaps with assumptions.
How we use AI and review information
We use AI to assist with research, organize source material and identify information that needs review. Our commitment is to revisit official sources and update listings as changes are verified. AI supports this work; it does not replace the need for source verification. Rent, availability, fees and policies can change between reviews, so renters should confirm current terms directly with the community before applying.
How the directory works
Our directory combines information compiled from supported sources with updates from property owners and authorized managers. Representatives can submit a property or request access to manage an existing page. After approval, their updates appear directly, subject to our content rules and subsequent review. Visitors can browse property information without creating a renter account. Former and current residents can submit a review using an email address, as explained in our Review Policy.
Free access and advertising
Browsing, creating an owner account, submitting a property, claiming a listing, and updating a listing are free. We do not offer paid listing boosts or featured-listing packages. Google AdSense ads may appear on the homepage and public apartment directories and property listings. Ads do not constitute our recommendation or endorsement of an advertiser.
Contacting and renting from a property
To ask about availability, schedule a viewing, apply, discuss rent, or pay a deposit, contact the property directly using its published business contact details or official website. FriendlyLandlord does not provide renter-to-landlord messaging, process rental applications, screen tenants, receive rental payments, or sign leases on behalf of either party. We are an independent directory. We are not a government housing agency, property manager, rental broker, or party to a rental agreement through the services described here. We do not guarantee that a particular owner will accept an application or that a property will meet a visitor's needs.
Corrections and updates
If you notice an error or manage a listed community, please use our Contact & Corrections page to request a review. Property owners and authorized managers can also use our owner tools to submit updates. We review corrections against supporting information. You can submit a routine report without providing your name, email address or telephone number.
