I recently updated my rating of Glen Valley Grove after Devon Properties took over and they have done an amazing job cleaning the place up Our new office staff have worked hard to fix the mess Ironclad left behind Despite this we still have issues with parking and some amenities are no longer available Hopefully Devon can continue taking care of the complex 2022-09-09T21:32:16Z
I recently updated my rating of Glen Valley Grove after Devon Properties took over and they have done an amazing job cleaning the place up Our new office staff have worked hard to fix the mess Ironclad left behind Despite this we still have issues with parking and some amenities are no longer available Hopefully Devon can continue taking care of the complex and beautifying the area facing Galloping GooseMy husband and I moved in April 2021 but as time has gone on weve noticed more problems with cheap materials and craftsmanship such as a random beam under our flooring thats higher than the rest Weve submitted a repair request two months ago for a leak under our bathroom sink which hasnt been fixed yet either The main problem is safety security and cleanliness theres only one cleaning lady despite Covid19 concerns security cameras don't work people randomly enter the building lobby to pee on the floor or do drug deals neighbours fight constantly and RCMP visit daily Mailparcels are being stolen from what was meant to be a parcel room but Ironclad wont hire a concierge for it Even our rooftop patio is being trashed by outsiders or lazy residents Its clear that Ironclad just wanted to fill their building without doing any background checks we feel taken advantage of here so will probably end up moving due to their lack of regard towards us tenants wellbeing more ... hide ...

I have been living at Peatt Commons in Langford for over a year now after relocating from a poorly managed apartment downtown Victoria Im beyond delighted with my new residence the caretaker Paul is fantastic and the managers are always willing to lend assistance when required Moreover theres an array of great tenants that are already part of the community A Facebook group is set up so you can get to know your neighbours and theres even an acclaimed restaurant right within the complex that serves amazing food With just five minutes away from places such as Costco restaurants bars grocery stores and Westshore Mall not to mention Colwood where I work it really couldnt be any more convenient The icing on top of the cake is that my 15yearold daughter has a friend in the building too so they often hang out together or go for bubble tea downstairs or explore other locations around Langford As far as single parents like me go with their teenage daughters living in tow this has definitely been our best choice yet we feel safe and secure here made new acquaintances and sense a genuine concern from owners regarding upkeep of their property Its pet friendly too which only adds to its appeal All in all I highly recommend Peatt Commons why don't you join us Wont you be my neighbour more ... hide ...

Do not go near this place I would give it a 010 Recently relocated from this property and the building itself is just acceptable but the management is horrendous When asked for the deposit in cash they said etransfer was unavailable however after insisting that it was suspicious to pay in cash they provided an email address where etransfer became available Later on they claimed to have lost track of the deposit and asked for proof or another transfer which we declined when we moved in it had clearly not been cleaned in ages a quick wipe had been done but everything else was filthy We were told that if anything needed fixing on inspection report then theyd come and do it rather than us having to note down the damage The initial inspection was rushed as management wanted out of there quickly furthermore their pet policy is a joke claiming to be not pet friendly yet dogs are always visible around the premises even Julie Andrews one of the building managers has one When initially inquiring about renting here I met with an unpleasant woman wearing what appeared to be sleepwear who seemed unaware she was meant to be managing As for security bike lockup offers minimal protection as bolt holding lock is held up by hook when purchasing a bike I wasnt aware of clause forcing me into using lockup and got barked at by Julies partner who failed even introduce himself Parking requires fee payment but if someone parks in your spot you have call tow more ... hide ...

The new building is absolutely lovely The appliances layout and flooring are all great and the balconies are a good size Most of the tenants here are polite and respectful Its very quiet despite having dogs and children living in the building Theres also a gym and games room that makes it even better Shopping is close by too which is convenient Matthew has done an amazing job as manager Unfortunately though it seems like the builder was more concerned with water features at the main entrance than security cameras throughout to keep everyone safe especially in underground parking so that visitors can park without worry of being towed away for not having a spot designated for them specifically which should have been there from day one A recycling bin near mailboxes would be another great addition as well Everything is kept clean by Patty who does an excellent job cameras around would help catch those few people who don't bother cleaning up after themselves or their dogs peeing everywhere more ... hide ...
