I have been living in the building that Belmont purchased last year for many years and I have nothing but positive things to say Since they took over theyve tidied up the parking lot and garbage issues that had been neglected by the prior owner The managers frequently clean the property and there is this one individual named Phil who is like a human Swiss Army knife When I asked if he was with Belmont and mentioned my kitchen sink problem he had a wrench in his pocket ready to fix it right away He then showed me how to fill out a repair form for any upcoming issues since he isn't always around Even though it wasnt his job I asked if he knew how to change windshield wipers on my vehicle amazingly enough he did On our way down from my suite Phil conversed in Spanish with my neighbouring tenant who seemed pleased with him Later in the parking lot Phil spoke Chinese with another tenant Its remarkable how talented this young man is however getting back to Belmont themselves I hope their improvements are longterm rather than just something done temporarily when managing a new building Given all of the negative reviews about them its difficult for me to comprehend since my exposure has been limited but pleasant so far Our building has greatly improved under Belmonts management what holds true for our residence may not be accurate elsewhere though as others have stated more ... hide ...

Village Gate Homes is a subsidiary of UBC meant to make rental on campus more affordable and comfortable for faculty and staff I lived there for two years but couldnt wait to move out Even months later Im still angry at this company To remain as objective as possible I waited before writing this reviewFirstly it took multiple requests over a year before they could replace an appliance part our old fridge was so tiny that when we asked for a new one the maintenance staff said that the management office would get the cheapest option rather than upgrade ours The electricity bill was high too but once they replaced the faulty door seal it dropped immediately Secondly their maintenance staff were rude and lazy during repairs he constantly used profanity which shocked me as its an education institute property management company Thirdly their movingout fee is a con my friends had been charged huge sums to replace carpets which hadnt even been changed in two years When moving in be prepared for your deposit to disappear Finally theres no interest from the company in maintaining buildings or keeping tenants happy when compared to multimillion apartments nearby UBC facultystaff cannot afford anywhere close by so they can charge more deposits from people leaving faster My advice if youre looking at living near UBC due to your job then look elsewhere off campus more ... hide ...

One should stay away from this terribly managed apartment in Vancouver It houses some tenants who are simply looking for a decent place to live however other occupants fail to take care of the property while the resident manager and owners neglect their duties If you choose to rent here expect that fire alarms will be set off randomly in the middle of the night and during summer nights windows must remain closed due to marijuana smoke coming from inconsiderate people below The elevators and parkade constantly smell like pot as well do not expect any help with maintenance either as it is impossible to get ahold of the resident manager who always seems absent When one does contact them about an issue they are either blamed or told there is no problem at all leaving you feeling powerless and forcing you to fix it on your own My advice after enduring such apartments go rent elsewhere its not worth the hassle more ... hide ...

My husband and I have been living here for nine months now Despite loving our apartment we have a few issues with it For example the underground parking is limited and street parking is also very scarce in fact my husbands truck has been hit twice while being parked on 18th street and hes still waiting to get a spot after almost a year It seems like there arent enough spots for all of the rental units onsite its rather small Additionally deliveries are not secure I have ordered two packages on separate occasions that have gone missing Management has not looked at the cameras yet when asked to do so and claims it isn't their problem many tenants in the building share this issue Although our view of Saint George is affected by these concerns we nonetheless enjoy great views from either side of our apartments and its location near Central Lonsdale businesses is very convenient more ... hide ...

In July 2021 we opted for the largest twobedroom floorplan in Royals2 while the building was around 35 capacity and before the first building manager left It was the amazing view that really drew us in as well as the fact that it was a solely rental property Upon moving in and entering our apartment I found pieces of drywall from heat registers nails from building construction and other debris on our deck We anticipated some issues due to it being a new structure but quickly grew weary of all the fire alarm occurrences especially at 630 am The smell from the garbage room on lower floors became progressively worse whereas access to our storage locker in Royals1 wasnt secure for six months despite multiple attempts to fix it Elevators were always malfunctioning or their doors would jam when exiting one even began making metalonmetal noises around fourth floor that scared people Some tenants disregarded no smoking rule which caused odors of cigarettes and marijuana in hallways and elevators plus they smoked right outside access doors or on rooftop area We were grateful OEB Jordan Sushi and Freshii opened up downstairs yet garbage room demonstrated limited capacity with messy conditions rapidly worsening there too On top of rent fee we had to pay an additional combined amount for parking spot and storage locker plus 100month for EnerPro watermunicipal bills shared among tenants furthermore even though we got assigned lowest parking level nobody tried switching us up higher while people moved more ... hide ...

Staying at Metropolitan Towers since 2018 has been great Although I have to move to another province the customer service I received from the leasing and management office was outstanding Any issue I had in my apartment was handled almost immediately yesterday for instance there were problems with a smoke detector and microwave handle that were fixed by 10a 2022-10-14T14:32:17Z
Staying at Metropolitan Towers since 2018 has been great Although I have to move to another province the customer service I received from the leasing and management office was outstanding Any issue I had in my apartment was handled almost immediately yesterday for instance there were problems with a smoke detector and microwave handle that were fixed by 10am Even though downtown has been chaotic due to the pandemic living here as a single woman felt safe security guards looked out for me when it got late There are many positives such as my relatively large apartment for this price range plus a Starbucks and grocery store downstairs and the amenities like gym cinema lounge and study area are excellent too The Team here has done their best during these tough times overall Ive really enjoyed living here more ... hide ...

I am extremely pleased with the building and Concert the property management company that I am currently renting from Wessex Gate and Earles Court are essentially one building just separated above ground but they use the same parking area Earles Court allows pets whereas Wessex Gate does not As a tenant of Wessex Gate I have access to a regular residential g 2022-09-11T12:32:18Z
I am extremely pleased with the building and Concert the property management company that I am currently renting from Wessex Gate and Earles Court are essentially one building just separated above ground but they use the same parking area Earles Court allows pets whereas Wessex Gate does not As a tenant of Wessex Gate I have access to a regular residential gym in Earles Court Along with this there is monthly storage lockers secured bike storage and a secret car wash in the bottom level of our parking lot Additionally we also have guest parking available which is rarely used There is fee laundry inside the building which serves its purpose for all tenants here and although it takes some time for elevators to get fixed if broken it gets done quickly by Concert staff The units are of average size with balconies or yards where I am fortunate enough to witness beautiful sunrises over Central Park every morning from my eastern view balconyyard Its also amazing how Concert decorates our foyer for Halloween and Christmas every year which gives us tenants a sense of joyfulness Furthermore their application process is straightforward and first qualified tenant will be accepted without any bidding process Tenants must purchase insurance as required by them but maintenance tasks such as repairs etc are taken care within a day or two after request In an unfortunate event that requires emergency repair line they have one ready but luckily I havent had to use it yet Notices regarding inspections or parkade washing more ... hide ...
