MAINSTREET and Gateway Place apartments are the worst managed in BC next to shelters The application process is horrible and they let prostitutes and drug addicts live in a supposed family complex Tenants have had to deal with bed bugs mice and cockroaches these issues were caused by filthy adjacent units that still remain occupied In winter months the past five years there has been either reduced or no heat at all tenants are given electric floor heaters to make up for it but its included in their rent Management uses bullying tactics rather than being civil with customers they threaten eviction if they don't get compliance even for things like inspections and maintenance while the staff is rude when complaints arise Four bad tenants have lived above me an alcoholic whos abusive drug addicts who are noisy slum lords more ... hide ...

Since May 2022 the swimming pool has been open and the hot tub is scalding The badminton court also features a net I have been enjoying all of the wonderful facilities this building provides The concierge service is top notch as well However what I don't like is that there are only three elevators if someone books them for moving purposes or maintenance wait 2022-11-09T04:02:18Z

Living here for two years I can say its not great but not bad Who you live near affects your experience with noise or smoking Unfortunately the building has no cameras and lax rules that cause messes in the hallways Parking is free underground spots are assigned and visitors park on the street usually Breakins and car theft are common so be sure to not leave valuables around or theyll be taken Garbage disposal is easy as you just have to take it to the dumpster in underground parking lot whenever wanted with no set days for it The laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers which work fine buy a reloadable card at kiosk in lobby for 1 fee then use creditdebit card to reload it at machines 2250 per load Theres a mailroom and parcel locker in lobby where Canada Post delivers without signature required however management doesnt accepthold parcels nor let FedExUPS inside unless buzzed by you Management is good dishwasher bathroom sink were replaced quickly after breaking down respectively but would give higher rating if cameras present maintenance cleanliness improved along with stricter rules enforced nonetheless most people here of all races backgrounds including immigrants are nice so feel free to introduce yourself To sum up my experience living here mindful respectful of neighbours don't leave valuables around take garbage when needed use reloadable cards for more ... hide ...

The staffs lack of organization and poor services especially concerning movein and moveout inspections cost us 250 in extra charges for damages we did not cause Last summer when we received our apartment it was dusty the fridge was dirty the oven had grass in it and the microwave had stickers on it there were also scratches and holes on some walls with badly painted bedroom walls During our movein inspection we were asked to sign an already filled out document without having done the inspection ourselves when we expressed discomfort with this he told us that everything had already been inspected before our arrival We took a video of our unit just in case any false damages were to be charged during final inspection We dedicated two days to cleaning before both inspections yet still ended up being charged 250 for damages this included 50 for a dirty oven which had obviously been there for years we only lived there 7 months as well as 200 for painting the walls they said they would have charged us 500 if not a friendly price yet their bill was only 99750 to repaint the walls entirely I took another video as proof of our final inspection and pictures of all documents signed moveinmoveout It is important to take copies or photos of any contracts the staff refused ours claiming it unnecessary as well as screenshotsrecords of conversations my suspicion proved right Other reviews mentioned extra charges too so do keep this in mind more ... hide ...
