I moved here thinking it was family-friendly; however, the area is not safe. Rent isn't too outrageous, but maintenance is dismal. There are often dirty condoms around the parking areas and thefts from cars and second floor balconies (via ladders). The apartments have poor insulation so during winter hydro bills reach $200+. Additionally, there's no insulation between apartments so conversations can be heard clearly through walls. Many of the buildings even have rodent infestations - mice were regularly seen in our apartment but management seemed apathetic. Jack frequently told our children and neighbour's children to not play outside or ride their bikes. On more than one occasion he entered our apartment unannounced with barely a knock while I was sleeping off a night shift in my underwear and my wife was breastfeeding bare-chested in the living room - there's absolutely no privacy inside your own home! This prompted us to move out as it wasn't as family-friendly as first thought.
