MAINSTREET and Gateway Place apartments are the worst managed in BC, next to shelters. The application process is horrible, and they let prostitutes and drug addicts live in a supposed family complex. Tenants have had to deal with bed bugs, mice, and cockroaches; these issues were caused by filthy adjacent units that still remain occupied. In winter months the past five years there has been either reduced or no heat at all; tenants are given electric floor heaters to make up for it, but it's included in their rent. Management uses bullying tactics rather than being civil with customers, they threaten eviction if they don't get compliance - even for things like inspections and maintenance - while the staff is rude when complaints arise. Four bad tenants have lived above me: an alcoholic who's abusive, drug addicts who are noisy... slum lords!
