In the past this place and its personnel were accommodating and respected students privacy Because of this I have recommended it to people I know who wanted to attend UOIT or Durham College The remarks from them about the management were always positive However after renovations at the entrance of the building the atmosphere changed drastically The staff became twofaced and passiveaggressive any help requested was a way for them to exploit money from tenants The parking is managed by another firm that takes advantage of financially precarious pupils They also enter rented rooms without authorization or when occupants are not there disregarding Ontario landlord and tenant regulations using fire safety inspections as an excuse for their actions For example Emily took pictures of possessions then prohibited textbooks or course notes stored in boxes she surveyed personal items in bedrooms to decide what could remain there while forbidding winter clothing during summertime she judged beds based on her preferences and banned any storage containers in bedrooms regardless of how orderly they were kept by tenants needing somewhere to keep expensivesentimental belongings due to living far away from home without expressing empathy Her demands made me think foreign students would be undesirable unless wealthy enough to fulfil her conditionslikesdislikesAs more good students leave because they cant endure such treatment the building has started allowing smokers inside although marijuana is legalised now which results in cigarettemarijuana scent pervading hallways all day long and people who more ... hide ...

This is a terrible place to live in Waterloo As there are no other choices and accommodations the landlords at this property are taking advantage of students and their parents When moving in our access code didnt work We were appalled to discover that the unit at 143 Columbia Street was terribly unclean it was full of dust bugs and spiders with no pest control done whatsoever Moreover we didnt receive an inspection form on time as promised in our contract when we did receive it it was around 22 hours after moving when the landlord expected us to submit within 24 hours Additionally they even asked if pest control was needed now Its apparent that the government isn't overseeing how these property management companies operate or creating laws for them so they can freely mistreat students and their parents without understanding what young people go through Everyone is solely interested in money instead of providing minimal services expected from them Canadian education system is fraudulent with these people taking advantage of it all too often I wouldnt recommend anyone coming here to any units or buildings as they will regret it later on 0 stars for this landlord more ... hide ...

This place only deserves one star because the rooms are nice however everything else here is abysmal Management has slow response times and provides no help when they do respond My roommates and I have been waiting for our shower to be fixed since the day we moved in its now nearing the end of October and its still running We were given a TV without a power cord which we just got last week and one of our windows was smashed on arrival but still hasnt been fixed All rooms were disgustingly dirty and our main door was broken until recently after weeks of trying to get help The wifi barely reaches our bedrooms especially those near the end so we have to use data instead since management missed their appointment to fix it three times in a row without any explanation or call beforehand We moved here despite bad reviews due to how attractive it seemed unfortunately this was not the right choice for us It has been nothing but chaos stress and problems since moving in management clearly does not care about tenants as they did not provide us with a toaster oven as promised nor respect or help when requested either Paying 815850 for an apartment that doesnt even function properly isn't worth it The bathroom with the constantly running shower is steaming with hot water making it excessively humid even causing damp toilet paper To conclude don't move here Thanks Bridgeport for nothing more ... hide ...
