Senior apartments with independent living and separate care options.

Kivel Manor’s independent-living apartments are HUD-subsidized housing for adults age 62 and older. Studios and one-bedroom layouts range from 336 to 528 square feet across the Manor, Blehart and Goldsmith designs. Independent residents have a food pantry, library, computer center, social-services coordinator and shared laundry, with covered parking and meal-plan options available.

The campus also offers assisted living and memory care with different service arrangements. Those programs include meals, medication management, bathing and dressing assistance, housekeeping and laundry. Assisted-living costs are based on a nursing assessment and the services required; the independent apartment program and care services are separate choices.

Independent-living pets: Small pets are welcome in independent apartments.
Pets in the care program: Small dogs or cats may be approved during admission; family-pet and therapy-dog visits can be arranged.

Independent-living eligibility: HUD-subsidized independent apartments for adults age 62 or older.

Living & care services.

Assisted-living services: 24-hour care, medication management, help with bathing and dressing, housekeeping/laundry, three meals daily with dietary laws observed, activities and an emergency call system.
Assisted-living payment programs: Kivel Manor Assisted Living states that it is HUD-subsidized and accepts Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS).
Memory-care setting: A separate memory-care unit within assisted living has private rooms, structured daily activities and staff trained in memory-care support.
Care pricing and assessment: Care pricing depends on required services. Initial assessments are completed by an experienced registered nurse.
Assisted-living base services: Private bathroom and individual temperature control; cable/internet; three meals and snacks; daily housekeeping; weekly laundry/linens; planned entertainment/outings and medication assistance.
Costs outside the care package: Medicines, specialty supplies, salon services, location-dependent transportation and specialty outings are outside the base price.
Assisted-living payment options: Private pay and ALTCS are accepted; the community says it does not accept Medicare for these services.
Care staffing: Awake staff on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Independent apartment features: Basic cable television, a 24-hour emergency call system and an automatic fire alarm.
