Update: Following the posting of this review, management agreed to provide partial compensation toward what I initially requested, which I already believed was a fair and reasonable offer. I have accepted this as a resolution. However, I am still disappointed with the final outcome and with how long it took to reach this point after several weeks of back-and-forth communication. - I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Altura has been incredibly disappointing. When I moved into my apartment, it was nowhere near move-in ready. I found urine around the toilet, an unflushed toilet, dirty floors, grimy light switches, residue inside the cabinets, a filthy stovetop, dirty balcony windows, and numerous other cleanliness issues. I spent over 13 hours deep cleaning the apartment myself and had to purchase my own cleaning supplies because the unit was not in acceptable condition. I documented everything with photos, kept records of the time I spent cleaning, and reached out to management multiple times hoping they would make things right. Instead of taking responsibility, I was told the apartment had already been cleaned, many of the issues were dismissed as “normal wear and tear,” and my request for either compensation or a cleaning crew was denied. What’s even more frustrating is that after continuing to follow up, my emails are now being ignored altogether. It’s disappointing to see such poor communication and customer service after paying to move into a home that clearly wasn’t properly prepared. I understand that mistakes happen, but what matters is how they’re handled. Unfortunately, Altura chose to dismiss my concerns instead of working toward a reasonable solution. I expected much better treatment as a resident. If you’re considering living here, I would strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting your apartment before accepting the keys and documenting everything immediately.

I normally don’t leave reviews about places I rent, but I genuinely have been really happy living here and wanted to give credit where it’s due. Starting my second 15 month lease here and I’m still very happy! Altura is in my opinion very well kept, and it’s obvious the cleaning and maintenance teams work hard to keep everything looking nice despite the constant traffic of people coming in and out every day. The pool is also almost always up and running and consistently clean, which is a huge plus. For the area, it’s actually a pretty quiet place to live, and anytime there are noise issues or concerns, management handles things quickly and respectfully. I’ve also noticed the effort they’ve made to make the building feel more welcoming for both residents and pets, and those little touches really don’t go unnoticed. Every time I call or stop by the leasing office, Gilbert and his staff are always on top of things and super helpful with any questions or requests. The front desk staff deserve recognition too — they’re genuinely friendly, welcoming, and help residents feel safe and comfortable. A lot of apartment buildings don’t have that kind of atmosphere, and it really makes a difference. Nobody asked me to write this review — I just truly enjoy living here and appreciate the people who help make it feel like home 😊

Move in way so smooth! Gilbert had the frieght elevator reserved for us, which made everything so quick! The apartment was so clean upon move in. The ability to paint (with approval on color) is so fantastic! Feels like im finally somewhere i can make feel truly like home! We love grilling on the 8th floor. The 30th floor pool and bbq's are amazing for small get togethers!

I was surprised by a lot of the comments as I've had a pretty good experience living here so far. The staff have always been super nice and attentive to things happening around the property. The concierge at the front desk takes time to get to know residents and addresses us by name when we walk in. Additionally, the Property Manager is actively upgrading things around the building and does a fantastic job at keeping us informed and letting us know on project time-lines. Other than that, all the apartments feel like condo's with floor to ceiling windows and balcony's that have fantastic views. What's not to love?

I just moved in and I absolutely love it here! The pool is amazing — such a perfect spot to relax — and the view at night is incredible. It’s honestly one of my favorite things about living here. I also love that all the amenities are open 24 hours. Having access anytime makes such a difference. The enclosed garage was a huge factor for me too, and I’m so glad this place offers that extra convenience and security. The leasing office team is super sweet and welcoming. Thank you for making the process so smooth and helping me get my dream apartment downtown! I highly recommend living here to anyone looking to move downtown and enjoy the best views and amenities.
