If you are sensitive to foul smelling urine, that of dogs and humans, you may want to look elsewhere to reside. Because of the summer heat there is only one side of complex that is shady and therefore this is where tenants walk their dogs. The complex takes no effort in spraying down the gravel and poor dying plants and trees thats only source of water is urine (they didn't even install a drip system when planting these trees and bushes). As well, because downtown is surrounded by a heat bubble, due to all of the new building complexes being built continuously and the over abundance of cement and asphalt, there is consequently no rain for months on end. You can be sure when you walk outside to see homeless people everywhere. They need a place to urinate and defecate. Ive seen human feces on my dog walks many times. You can clearly see the difference between canine feces and humans. And, this shaded sidewalk, which you literally need to hold your breath to walk down (same side the leasing office is on) happens to be out front where many like to conveniently park. Also, there is trash everywhere in the streets. The management refuses to hire a reputable landscaping company that will actually sweep up the debris, instead of simply using their blower to blow it everywhere. In my opinion, the above suggests that this apartment complex takes no ownership or pride in keeping a clean looking and smelling complex for their tenants. Use your imagination to consider what else they fall short on.

Context: I was on the 2nd floor corner unit on 6th & Fillmore st. Moved out 2025. Absolutely loved living here! I was there for over 3 years and moved out of state. I miss this apartment everyday! The staff is always friendly and wanting to help. The maintenance team is the BEST! I love the location too! It's out of the way of the hectic downtown noise but close enough to walk there. The only con is it can be noisy at times from outside noise not in. Young professionals mostly live here, which is what I loved. The gym is always clean and never too crowded.

My experience here at 601 Pax has been exceptional so far. The location, accessibility and Bodega (Coffee/Beer&Wine shop) all in one package. It's living made easy. Downtown always brings a little blend of everything. I've never had issues and I live on the first floor. I'm happy that Tyanna the new community manager is piloting 601 Pax. She is a familiar face and everytime I come to the office I can find her and the team present. I love all of the improvements recently made around the community like, the mailroom hallways and pool area - new paint job. I have good faith that even better improvements are coming soon. I highly recommend this building!

Property management team is kind but Greystar is the most horrible property management company I've ever experienced and theres a clear disconnect between local 601 Pax staff and Greystar corporate. Needed to break lease (job relocation) and in-office team said there might be a way they could be flexible with fees or payment timing. Got our hopes up for nothing because Greystar gave us no options, not even a sublease option. We ended up paying $8K to break the lease which was a very disorganized process on their end. We left the place spotless & sanitized and were still charged hundreds in move-out cleaning fees on top of the $8K to break the lease. We ended up paying in full and wanted to be done with it all, only to be sent a notice 4 months later that we have an outstanding balance of $91. We were sent a partial refund (minus cleaning fees) on our rental deposit back during move out and were never notified that we had leftover balances outside of this, so this is what drove me to write the review. Would never rent with Greystar again. Not to mention 601 Pax constantly had tenants breaking rules - pool parties on weeknights after hours, constant pool closures from glass being broken at said parties, people subleasing garages as living areas, trash and dog poop everywhere. It's priced lower than neighboring buildings but after living there, it wasn't worth the extra savings.

Excellent service in every aspect. Sarah and Andrea are bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. They are excellent people who put all their effort into their work and do everything possible to satisfy and resolve any problems or concerns for all residents. Thank you.
