We had high hopes when we were shown the new unit as promised renovations would be made But the girl living there was a mess and the place reeked of urine Management assured us of a discount since it wasnt move in ready and said theyd fix doors windows change out laminate flooring and supply a new stove None of this happened When we asked for the discount they initially agreed to they changed their story and accused us of lyingeven though we had nothing in writing The broken windows still havent been fixed instead they just replaced the glass but two days later it fell next to my boyfriend while he was sleeping Shards of glass are still stuck in our mattress and on our feet that Im having to pluck out with tweezers Instead of a new stove management gave us one from another unit that needed wiping down two months on and no sign yet of what was promised The maintenance man entered without notice or warning while I was asleep half dressed I might add When we contacted property managers about not giving 24 hours written notice as required by law head office sided with them saying that me saying I was available any time during day should have been enoughbut theres proof otherwise via text messages too This morning I slipped almost falling due to leaking sink pipes with a big puddle underneath it too We have been good tenants here at Killam whove never paid rent late nor more ... hide ...

Im a business professional and I can highly recommend this building as Ive been living here The property managers are great they react fast to any repairs that may be required The apartment suite is beautiful and includes quartz countertops white lacquer modern cabinets 5 stainless steel appliances a half bath with ensuite washerdryer and laminate flooring with grey walls and white trim Moreover my unit is on the 6th floor with 3 huge windows facing west for lots of natural light plus a large balcony too Theres central airconditioning to keep cool in hot weather along with heated parking at an extra cost which makes it worth it when the weather outside isn't good the parking also comes with a storage room This building is secure and petfriendly with approval plus youve got Superstore across the street as well as plenty of other retail outlets and restaurants in close proximity theres even a bus stop right out front It takes only 5 minutes by car to reach the hospital or university while Downtown Halifax is 10 minutes away furthermore Dartmouth Bridge is close by too as well as Costco 10 min drive or Halifax Shopping Centre 5 min drive So if you don't have your own vehicle this place would be ideal for you Jasper I absolutely love living here more ... hide ...

I lived in 19Twenty apartments for a year despite the discouraging reviews and it was my favorite apartment so far The building was conveniently located near a Tim Hortons library and several restaurants The flat itself was very large and in great condition plus the neighbors were generally quiet Staff at management and maintenance were amiable and efficient I always received timely responses to my requests with solutions that met my expectations perfectly There were some minor disadvantages but nothing major for example the gym had limited machinesequipment though theres a Goodlife Fitness gym nearby more ... hide ...

If possible it is best to avoid this place I had been living there for around 2 and a half years The building was old and the suite I resided in was not refurbished One of the cupboard doors fell off when being used due to missing nails A few sections of the floor were broken which made it difficult to clean up There were continuous cockroach problems that started from the day I moved in and pest control that was ineffective for two months finally leading me to move out and throwing away my bed and mattress as this was due to bed bug issues The bathroom did not have a modern fan so ventilation after taking showers could be an issue plus there wasnt even a kitchen ventilator either Furthermore after Capreit took over from QuadReal the laundry area became quite unclean with dirty carpets in its hallways too with the occasional smell of marijuana appearing now and then as well The landlords office only provided assistance during moving in or paying though Michelle always seemed helpful throughout my stay here overall In conclusion one star would be fitting for this location at most more ... hide ...
