I have been living in Luna an excellent apartment building in downtown Montreal for almost five years and I just renewed my lease It is right across from the Faculty of Law at McGill University and a short walk away from Mount Royal There are plenty of reasons why I enjoy living there Despite not being connected to the management in any way heres why its such a great place The location is superb Sherbrook Street has some nice hotels museums galleries and shops which will open again once the pandemic ends Plus there are lots of cafes bistros and bars on Peel as well as shopping centres on SaintCatherine St W Additionally for what you get its great value no promises made that werent fulfilled Coming from a large city like Chicago this was especially important to me the building has many amenities and services plus an amazing staff that is always willing to help out with requests Though not newly constructed it has had updates done windows were replaced as well as balconies which needed renovating due to Montreals winter weather conditions causing wear over time plus these renovations caused minor disruption but didnt take away from all its benefits such as cost efficiency or proximity to some of the best parts of town In fact due to this situation Ive been able to do some of my best work while based in my apartment here more ... hide ...

Even though the layout of the room was okay no matter what we did it still smelled like fried onions The unit was in bad shape for instance there was damage to the ceiling and worn carpet Going to Blue via shuttle required walking to a dark and desolate parking lot after nightfall which made us feel uneasy The kitchen appliances were nice and the pool pleasa 2022-10-29T15:32:17Z

Before 2018 there were many negative reviews from the time when Cogir was managing the property However since BentallGreenOak took over things have changed drastically they invested a lot to improve the apartments and upgrade all amenities The management is also very responsive to any issues that arise and informs everyone of any planned interruptions ahead 2022-10-12T21:02:18Z

I have had two regrettable experiences with this Torontobased building and its personnel When I was first hired I found out that I was considered an independent contractor instead of an employee although it is not a problem in itself the building provided hours and breaks to me which should not be the case To make matters worse my job entailed cleaning in addition to helping flip apartments with other contractors The maintenance man was over eighty years old and used his one leg plus a jigsaw in one hand or a skill saw with no guard attachment dangerous beyond belief Furthermore the woman who managed rentals and paychecks had been convicted of fraud related to bookkeeping something that made headlines locally It did not stop there she was openly racist towards anyone who wasnt white particularly against my wife from Trinidad which led to me being dismissed from my job as cleaner after previously receiving praise for how well I kept it clean Three years later David the owner contacted my wife offering me work once again however this time it would be onsite helping flip apartments as some other staff had left But he hadnt gotten rid of the previous supervisor yet she still held her position despite her prior actions until eventually she got fired too During this time period at Alliance Properties though I saw firsthand how they wanted things done when sent to a unit where condensation behind the wall caused it to bulge outwards instead more ... hide ...
