I want to begin this review by noting the one good part the maintenance staff many of whom are great and try their hardest Ive never had any problems Now onto the bad partover the years amenities have been taken away from tenants We did gain a new property manager named Darcy who was like a breath of fresh air and tried to improve things but he has since left and what we are left with is not great Recently I asked about the car wash station that had its pipe cut and removed their response was It was a nice feature oh well Not exactly what you would expect from someone taking your money each month The underground parking lots are so dirty too being able to clean my car was awesome but now thats gone too Additionally we have lost our pool sauna the excuse being that the concrete was too damaged as well as our onsite security which only lasted 3 months before they got rid of it completely All these features were why many of us initially moved in here We could have paid less elsewhere without them yet despite removing all these amenities they still raised rent costs beyond provincial guidelines even went to tenant board for approvals If youre looking to move in then please take this review as a warning from someone who has lived here for some time they will continue taking with no regard for tenants I heard management tell maintenance staff to focus on empty units instead of attending repair tickets for current tenants more ... hide ...

I have lived in these apartments for one full year They are clean and well maintained with no bug infestations reported in my unit The common areas are regularly vacuumed and cleaned by a crew while grounds maintenance looks after the grass and public areas Generally speaking it is an enjoyable place to live However this March Capreit got rid of the onsite superintendent couple without replacing them Now a single property manager Ill call him D has to divide his attention between this property and at least two others requests for repair don't get addressed quickly in one case it took over a month to fix the leaking ceiling and window in my second bedroom communication from management to residents is poor there was an inadequately posted fire alarm test that went off today which most residents were unaware of the only posting was asking people come down sign something they knew nothing about when Maintenance Keeper E had nothing like that either As D and E must cover multiple properties the overall quality has declined due to lack of staff adequately overseeing them While living here is pleasant enough Capreits primary concern is profits rather than employee or resident comfort which makes them far from ideal landlords more ... hide ...

Do NOT consider this complex as a residence unless you have a baby mama Its full of really obnoxious thieving people who will menace you and try to ruin your belongings Its unsanitary with rodents cats raccoons and skunks everywhere The landlord does not care about the honorable dwellers living here and will address you like a criminal They don't improve units floors are crooked porches crumbling apart windows and doors outdated letting in cold air Rents are very expensive and be careful of the property manager hell tell you it is electric heating which it is but also that theyre waiting on funds to modify to forced heating Walls are thin so everything can be heard by neighbors who are loud and impolite with no respect for anyone else If noise from thundering hooves or shrieking children at all hours appeals to you then this place might suit Backyards look horrendous with broken fences falling apart pathways driveways not redone in over 50 years To sum up GROSS not worth anything Im glad Im leaving soon more ... hide ...

The building in which I reside is 2400 New Street Terri works hard to make it feel like a comfortable home and its location is great but thats where the positives end It takes weeks to get maintenance done unless you call the emergency line and the new managers disregard longtime tenants while renovating empty units without offering anything in return I would love to have a washerdrier like my neighbors have however the laundry machines are unreliable and purchasing a card only works for one of eight dryersat an increased rate Whenever I point out wall bubbles or stains from black mold or water the maintenance team just brush it off as normalI had to get provincial inspectors involved for this issue to be resolved There are pests nesting in the covered parking area which causes damage to vehicles stored there The intercom system is being updated and on September 21st 2022 I received an email saying if any changes needed to be made they were due by January 25th of that same yearwhich has already passed Before 2020 I would recommend living here however after 2020 I cannot do so with good conscience One star review CLV Group gave me attitude when seeking resolution for these issuesdo not move here more ... hide ...

We have only been in our new home for a short time however we are already quite content with the area the pool and our friendly neighboring pupowners Ferdows our leasing agent was immensely helpful when addressing inquiries and tech issues he had an amicable attitude and displayed an abundance of patience The building may be old yet it is structurally sound 2022-10-15T14:32:17Z
We have only been in our new home for a short time however we are already quite content with the area the pool and our friendly neighboring pupowners Ferdows our leasing agent was immensely helpful when addressing inquiries and tech issues he had an amicable attitude and displayed an abundance of patience The building may be old yet it is structurally sound something I have experienced in past dwellings this one being by far the best of them all The basement and stairwells may not be as modernlooking but since they are out of sight it doesnt bother us Our unit is sizable with ample brightness large rooms have been recently refurbished while cabinetry appears to be relatively new as well There are a few minorcosmetic defects such as sloppy painting in the bathroom or interior doors but no need to involve management at this time though if ever needed were sure they will respond just as they have previously done so during our stay thus far In conclusion we anticipate staying here longterm and expect to thoroughly enjoy it more ... hide ...
