If youre thinking of relocating here be warned they require a deposit before showing you a lease which is not surprising The lease states that any broken windows or appliances are the tenants responsibility even if beyond their control and management refused to adjust it or even acknowledge in writing that they would repair them It was only one week until ou 2022-10-24T00:32:17Z
If youre thinking of relocating here be warned they require a deposit before showing you a lease which is not surprising The lease states that any broken windows or appliances are the tenants responsibility even if beyond their control and management refused to adjust it or even acknowledge in writing that they would repair them It was only one week until our moving date when we noticed these issues and three weeks until our deposit was refunded I believe this system is designed to force tenants into signing the lease once they put down the deposit because its impossible to find another apartment and pay for another deposit within a short span of time more ... hide ...

My first time renting was certainly a memorable experience though not in a good way The building had nice finishes but the management left much to be desired We rented a three bedroom unit that felt smaller than expected the third bedroom lacked a window which Im sure isn't up to fire safety regulations There wasnt even room for a dining area in the master bedroom and while the balcony was large it seemed like some of that space could have been better used inside As part of our agreement we were responsible for changing light bulbs we had to replace at least 8 in our first year Plus our air conditioner didnt start working until almost the end of our lease After multiple requests for help from management it turned out there was an issue with the drainage line not being connected Parking in the underground lot was convenient but inconveniently jammed when two or more vehicles were trying to come and go at once same went for the elevator which often needed repairs Additionally we heard children making noise around us all day and night plus pets despite rules being against them not to mention multiple instances of faulty fire alarms going off during sleep hours Lastly upon moving out I had no receipt of my damage deposit until 1 month later when I contacted them again they had sent it to my old address despite me already having vacated Needless to say Id rent there again if only management provided better service more ... hide ...

Ive lived in this building since 2012 and my experience has been positive The Rental Agents are friendly and accommodating not taking any nonsense Maintenance is done frequently the hallways are tidy its peaceful and the laundry machines work without issue There is a regular influx of tenants most of whom are working professionals with some families that respect their neighbors something I find beneficial Additionally they have upgraded the apartments to include dishwashers which Im pleased with It may be an older building but Im still content to call it home more ... hide ...

The Cedarcrest Apartment building is in a state of disrepair Weidner management seemingly overlooks it The property managers only explanation is usually that they cant do it due to COVID or some other excuse to delay the work for months Here are some everyday issues at this property 1 The washing machine on the top floor has been nonoperational for months leaving only one washer and dryer on that floor forcing those living there to take their loads of laundry down to the basement 2 Cars breakins are a regular occurrence in both front and back parking lots security cameras have not worked for a few months now 3 Illegal drug users can easily gain access into the building as there is inadequate security since no property manager resides onsite and thus cannot hear any screams from druggies at night 4 Bedbug infestations occur often however alternative accommodation isn't provided if this happens 5 Maintenance takes weeks or even months regardless of COVID restrictions and tickets are closed before resolving any issues making it impossible to reopen them through previously used appssites by residents logging complaintsissues with management 6 Snow removal often comes last compared to nearby rental apartmentscondos who plow regularly vehicles can sometimes be found stuck in snow in the parking lot as a result 7 Old structure means non more ... hide ...
