I stayed at 561 Sherbourne Street Toronto for 8 months and I have conflicting feelings about it It worked for my needs but I wouldnt stay there again Initially they said the minimum stay was 8 months but when I arrived there were people with shorter leases than mine They advertise that they match you with people who share similar interests however this wasnt true as they only matched me by gender My purpose in Toronto was to work and yet I was grouped with English students who were just there for fun quite stressful It wouldve been much better had they taken into consideration the profile and purpose of those sharing the apartment together The socalled manager Albert should not be in that role as he is not actually hired by Harrington he is an undergraduate student studying exams and his responses are either delayed or nonexistent unless money is involved Sinan from their financebooking team also took a long time to answer my emails or would ignore them altogether Asye from the cleaning team was a welcome exception though as she always cleaned when someone new moved in unfortunately you never knew who The units are new however my room the deluxe dorm was somewhat small while the shared area was too tiny for 4 people since they made one of the living rooms an extra bedroom additionally you don't know ahead of time if 3 or 4 will be living together TV worked even though Netflix wasnt included like promised wifi only went down once during more ... hide ...

Living in Hoem is alright however it does not seem to be managed well and feels like it is just a moneymaking venture The apartments are nice with scenic views and are fully furnished so thats nice I lived here for 1 year and 4 months but during this time there were many problems which occurred At the time of signing my 1year lease contract I was unexpectedly moved to a different floor for the last 4 months without an explanation as to why Also while I was moved into a 4 bedroom apartment I was still charged rent for the 3 bedroom apartment I left behind which went against the contract we had signed initially This problem only got resolved after many emails were exchanged between me and management it should have been handled by management instead of leaving it to unqualified students at the front desk who did not take me or my roommate seriously until my mother intervened Moreover without any prior warning from Hoem staff we had a new roommate move into our place in the middle of the night They also failed to provide us with wifi password or roommate agreement paper when we shifted apartments The laundry room was terrible too all washing machines smelt mouldy with dirtmould buildup around rubber parts also clothes werent properly dried in most dryers multiple times leading us to spend more money on rerunning them sometimes machines even stopped midcycle without working At one event organised by Hoem staff no one talked or said hello until I more ... hide ...

I am not looking for a response from P4S as I have already addressed my concerns with them My issue is that when searching rental listings on their site the majority of ads are now for locations very far away from my campus This has been a waste of time and they have assured me it will not change back to how it was before It is also becoming more common to f 2022-09-09T03:02:17Z
I am not looking for a response from P4S as I have already addressed my concerns with them My issue is that when searching rental listings on their site the majority of ads are now for locations very far away from my campus This has been a waste of time and they have assured me it will not change back to how it was before It is also becoming more common to find landlords that seem to be discriminating against mature students offering details like no locks on private entrances or lack of fire exits upon inquiry However I must mention that I did find a very good landlord through this site previously so this behavior should not be assumed of all landlords Therefore other students should remain mindful when searching and consider getting advice from someone experienced in the field more ... hide ...

DO NOT make this building your home It may seem like a fairytale from the exterior but it is in disrepair internally The management is inept when it comes to student housing and they have not been able to address the rampant WEED consumption within Furthermore NOISE issues can arise if you happen to have an irritating neighbor and no real solutions are offer 2022-10-21T05:02:19Z

I have been living in this building for more than a year and I have absolutely no complaints Even though there have been some minor issues security has been topnotch At first when I was new the desk would often be unmanned during night or early mornings but lately they are always on duty The team is excellent with the exception of one or two members Fire alarms are a blessing since it only sounds during inspection and it only went off accidentally once during my stay here which is better than other condos where you frequently hear them going off which is really annoying Homeless people can sometimes be seen loitering around but the situation has improved since the construction of the condos on DundasJarvis prior to that time it was quite bad Amenities of the building are great however missing swimming pool is a shame but Learning Centre makes up for that loss easily though with Provident Energy Company as our Hydro provider things become complicated as they charge highly and provide very poor customer service communication isn't great either nor do they deliver bills properly so you can get demand letters with expensive fees if you don't pay them on time so read their reviews before considering them Management hasnt interacted much with us yet but when it comes to abiding by rules they act swiftly like when we were left without air conditioning due to an HVAC system problem during heat wave in summer 2021and also buzzer system not working since late Augustearly September 2021 even though they said a new one will be more ... hide ...
