This building is a bug infested unsafe trash heap where tenants from thirdworld countries dump their garbage in the wrong areas and complaints are unheeded My kitchen tap broke and it took them a month to repair I had to get cooking water from the bathroom which was rusty and putrid The vents need to be duct taped over because of cigarette smoke and cannabis being smoked in the halls additionally there are bad dog owners leaving poo all over the grounds dogs running loose in halls including into apartments when they open their doors feces and urine inside elevators etc We pay rent for an indoor pool that is never open or maintained properly plus the laundry room is filthy Surrounded by TCHC crime dens we have trespassers vandals breakins as well as gunplay on the grounds The Russian office woman is rude and uncooperative she spends much of her time gossiping with friends instead of working properly plus Russian tenants are often exempted from certain rules such as leash laws etc The assistant super has mental health issues which cause him to scream at tenants including myself Other staff members try but cant keep up sadly Im stuck here due to my disability preventing me from moving elsewhere due to cost reasons more ... hide ...

For fifteen years I lived at 2700 Saratoga Pl but recently moved out This once friendly neighborhood has been subject to a limited care managementsimilar to a lowclass motel with new leadership every few yearsresulting in a series of bad choices Because the building is quite old mid 70s most units are being remodeled which can be heard everywhere due to its structural design If you live with children or someone who walks heavily on the floors be prepared to be very upset as it sounds like a bass drum Furthermore there have been sugar ants travelling through the pipes and walls for years that cannot be eliminated without help from the building manager Additionally over the past 10 years there has been limited ventilation and one can smell everything from food and dirty clothes in the airOn a more positive note shopping is close by with an abundance of stores nature and forests are also nearby it is located next door to one of Ottawas largest mosques hot tap water is always ready within five seconds after turning it on plus dust levels are high thanks to unglazed concrete floors beneath older carpets more ... hide ...

If you want to rent in Ottawa I strongly suggest avoiding Homestead buildings Ive personally had an awful experience there and can attest its not a great option Maintenance issues are practically impossible to get fixed by the superintendent and each floor is filled with marijuana smoke Additionally their rent is much higher than what youd expect from what t 2022-10-14T09:32:18Z
If you want to rent in Ottawa I strongly suggest avoiding Homestead buildings Ive personally had an awful experience there and can attest its not a great option Maintenance issues are practically impossible to get fixed by the superintendent and each floor is filled with marijuana smoke Additionally their rent is much higher than what youd expect from what the building offers if you lose your key youll have to pay 60 for a new one Parking isn't great either your car might scrape against the ceiling when entering the indoor lot Lastly swimming pools rarely get maintained properly Therefore if Ottawa is where you need to be and a Homestead building is all thats available my advice is to look elsewhere more ... hide ...
