Village Gate Homes is a subsidiary of UBC meant to make rental on campus more affordable and comfortable for faculty and staff I lived there for two years but couldnt wait to move out Even months later Im still angry at this company To remain as objective as possible I waited before writing this reviewFirstly it took multiple requests over a year before they could replace an appliance part our old fridge was so tiny that when we asked for a new one the maintenance staff said that the management office would get the cheapest option rather than upgrade ours The electricity bill was high too but once they replaced the faulty door seal it dropped immediately Secondly their maintenance staff were rude and lazy during repairs he constantly used profanity which shocked me as its an education institute property management company Thirdly their movingout fee is a con my friends had been charged huge sums to replace carpets which hadnt even been changed in two years When moving in be prepared for your deposit to disappear Finally theres no interest from the company in maintaining buildings or keeping tenants happy when compared to multimillion apartments nearby UBC facultystaff cannot afford anywhere close by so they can charge more deposits from people leaving faster My advice if youre looking at living near UBC due to your job then look elsewhere off campus more ... hide ...

Advantages i Property manager and concierge are quick to answer any inquiries or requests ii Residents show courtesy in communal spaces iii The building has three elevators for only one hundred sixty units my previous apartment had six elevators for more than five hundred suites iv Located on the residential side of Yonge Street it is peaceful and quietDisadvantages i Entrance to parking garage is slightly cramped ii No swimming pool though this may be seen as a positive by some people In conclusion this is my first experience living in the St ClairYonge area and its easy to understand why it is so sought after you can have the seclusion of an uptown neighbourhood yet still be close to downtown amenities and attractions more ... hide ...

I have been living in Mission Flats for over a year now and I still adore it It is situated perfectly with convenient access to bus stops supermarkets drugstores coffee houses and the wonderful Pandosy Village My husband and I have not encountered many of the issues that other inhabitants are complaining about Thus I think we should be lenient towards people 2022-10-13T21:32:17Z
I have been living in Mission Flats for over a year now and I still adore it It is situated perfectly with convenient access to bus stops supermarkets drugstores coffee houses and the wonderful Pandosy Village My husband and I have not encountered many of the issues that other inhabitants are complaining about Thus I think we should be lenient towards people and recognize the efforts of our management to make this place delightful to live in It is noticeable that they are taking action on all matters brought up or dealing with them ongoing Parking spots can be scarce sometimes but there are other alternatives available which has never caused us problems while hosting parties at our place The suites are stunning while balconies provide plenty of space moreover it is also petfriendly The complex looks marvellous as well as being properly kept up by its current managers who we plan on staying with for at least another year or two an opportunity I feel privileged to have Taking all reviews into account my suggestion would be to anyone looking for a place Mission Flats should definitely be considered more ... hide ...
