I've been staying in this apartment for 3 years and the staff is very friendly. However, I was annoyed to find out that smoking indoors was allowed despite the fact that there are families with children living in the building. It's understandable to permit smoking outside on the property, although it still affects those in higher floors due to drifting smoke coming through windows. Allowing smoking within individual units where ventilation is shared among residents made no sense at all. When I moved in, I noticed a strong smell of smoke coming into not only my room but also my toddler's bedroom. The scent of cigarette smoke lingered throughout the hallways and stairwells too so everyone was exposed to it one way or another. Management said they couldn't do anything since they don't have rules against indoor smoking yet; thus, I had to purchase air purifiers for every room just so we can avoid second-hand smoke exposure as much as possible. After 3 years of living here and now that I am about to move out, coincidentally they have recently announced a policy prohibiting smoking both inside and outside their premises starting 2022! But since it took them 3 YEARS before taking any action on this matter (and only after more ... hide ...

The location of the apartment is convenient, and the staff (Julie) is always willing to help. However, the carpets in both common areas and my own need to be changed as they are worn out. People still smoke at the entrance, my window, and patio; plus, people passing by with their dogs tend to pause for a chat. The noise level late at night from people waiting for the elevator or those on higher floors is a nuisance. From 11 pm - 2 am there's continuous stomping above my apartment which has recently been from fighting and arguing. I wouldn't recommend living on the ground floor without earplugs! There's yet to be a poster made by management displaying their intention for a smoke-free environment or any type of sensitizing about non-smoking zones. Additionally, it would be nice if something was done about our keys often turning 360 cycles without success when trying to get into building--forcing us to use alternative side doors instead. Nonetheless, every residence has its good and bad points!
