I had an unbelievable experience at Sonder Montrals downtown property The apartment I stayed in was spacious and gorgeous with exposed concrete ceilings and a wraparound balcony with a beautiful view Checking in was easy and the location is ideal by Guy Concordia station They even arranged for me to be placed on a higher floor upon request It was the most wellequipped place Ive ever visited it had all the supplies necessary for cleaning laundry and cooking The bedding was very comfortable as well as the furniture that made it feel like an upscale condo instead of a rental or hotel unit For extra convenience theres an app you can download for instructions on checkin as well as building information and access to chat assistance 247 from a concierge in the lobby The only downside is that since its such a new building the gymsauna isn't open yet but this fact was disclosed when I booked my stay Sonder really thought of everything so that my time there could be stressfree Id definitely go back more ... hide ...

Academy Suites formerly known as Evelyn Court is currently undergoing renovation by new owners and is expected to be finished in early 2022 The new owners are great and have made the living situation much more familyfriendly and safe compared to before It has increased security with a full time superintendent on site as well as security cameras There is a la 2022-10-07T20:32:17Z
Academy Suites formerly known as Evelyn Court is currently undergoing renovation by new owners and is expected to be finished in early 2022 The new owners are great and have made the living situation much more familyfriendly and safe compared to before It has increased security with a full time superintendent on site as well as security cameras There is a larger parking lot and extra storage rooms available All of the units are newly renovated with stainless steel appliances such as stove refrigerator microwave dishwasher washer and dryer making it a 5star rated accommodation from its previous 1star rating Its close to downtown Kentville with many changes planned for this year old tenants look forward to seeing the progress photos of old units will be updated soon more ... hide ...

I was a past tenant at this place and Im using a pseudonym to protect my identity from potential harassment if I have to rent from them again in the future The two Sams who work here were very different one of them was really nice while the other was an awful Karen Every year they would raise the rent unless we found a way to prevent it even during major COVID restrictions when it said you couldnt raise rent Even with all their bonuses and rebates 1600 dollars should not be so close to slumlike conditions think homeless people digging through trash or drug deals happening near exit doors but thats what it is like here The security guard isn't much help either as he hasnt been around lately Maintenance can be mixed bag some fixes are good but most just do the minimum amount of work necessary You can also hear your neighbors doing everyday activities like using the bathroom or singing in the shower due to how thin some walls are Despite all this I still like my suite its spacious with a nice patio and courtyard but management has an inflated opinion on how much these suites should cost considering everything else going on in this area With all that considered its definitely not worth paying such high rent prices for these suites alone more ... hide ...

I have had the misfortune of renting at this place and it is by far the worst They overcharge for parking double up on pet deposits and rent and try to enforce professional carpet cleaning which is against the Residential Tenancy Act Many people have fallen prey to this unlawful charge You are allowed to clean the carpets yourself I took my complaint to the RTA board and won The appliances they provide are old and barely functioning its supposed to be a nonsmoking building yet their own maintenance man smokes in his suite making it reek of cigarettes on the second floor I felt unsafe after a possible tenant harassed me when I was taking out garbage all management said was thank you for not letting him into the garbage room No further action was taken Theres almost no visitor parking since most spots are taken by residents who don't want to pay 3035 monthly fee for one spot they threaten with tow but nothing happens The parking lot is also dangerous due lack of safety signs or common sense from drivers merging two lanes without paying any attention something Management could easily fix with a sign but simply doesnt care We were paying nearly 1300month for a two bedroom which we couldnt even enjoy due inconsiderate neighbours stomping on floors plus embarrassing poorly managed appliances so beware renters look elsewhere for better accommodations If I could give negative stars I would more ... hide ...

My girlfriend and I resided at this place for two years and every review posted here is accurate Its unbearably hot in summertime since the central AC only works in the hallways thus you must open your front door to get some cooling if you want it The window opens very little which makes it hard to install a portable AC The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors all around you Underground parking is often broken into due to being near homeless shelters my car was stolen once and its on the tenants responsibility Plus there are sometimes homeless sleeping in the lobby or stairs based on my personal experience Lastly there is an extremely slow elevator and no storage space provided as a result of that fact your place will always look messy Furthermore building managerinspectors are very strict with move out inspections theyll replace whatever things that arent aesthetically pleasing for the next tenants even though it may be wear tear and charge for them too We stayed here two years because we had a pet but eventually left because of how hot summers were every resident agrees with what was said here as not many people last more than one year in this building If you decide to live here after reading all this warning good luck more ... hide ...

The Cedar Green Apartments have become a joke since the fire that led to the firing of the old manager and hiring of a new one The rent is constantly rising they refuse to fix up our current suite and instead offer us a renovated suite for 1550 per month with no amenities included Hydro in the building is outrageous paying 300 every two months for a twobedroom apartment and after the old manager left our hydro bill dropped to 85 The renovated suites are losing counter space to make room for an extra kitchen entrance which isn't necessary additionally they are replacing laminate flooring and putting in dishwashers in all suites something we were told was impossible when we first moved in four years ago due to plumbing being too old Water pressure has been cut down significantly as well don't even think about drinking tap water as it contains too many minerals After leaving CLR in it overnight I still couldnt get rid of all the lime and calcium buildup from just one months use To top it off asbestos dust from another building being rebuilt is blown over into our garbage cans which puts tenants and neighbors at risk of exposure The new manager supposedly works from 10am2pm weekdays but has only been here around four times each visit lasting only two hours since the fire his relief manager does most of his work for him now Welcome to Cedar Green Apartments nothing gets fixed rent keeps climbing oh yeah watch out for more ... hide ...
