Campus1 MTL offers a unique student living experience that I was able to lease through McGill University The building is modern and usually clean with accessible amenities like a gym halfbasketball court cardio room yoga room lounge and study areas Interactions with staff can be inconsistent however some are dismissive and rude while others are more attentive or friendly The cafeteria has decent space but the food quality and portion sizes arent great Unfortunately those who leased directly through Campus1 don't have the option to eat at other dining halls like those of us who leased through McGill doI lived in a split doubleroom which was small but average for a first year residence hall however rent seemed too high given all of the issues present there On the plus side theres an active student community with many opportunities for group hikes trips and activities During COVID19 Campus1 took general guidelines to their extreme setting harsh capacity limits as well as restrictions on visitorsguests in the building though some were due to McGill policies There were also issues with false fire alarms especially during midterm exams wifi crashing frequently less so now plumbing problems that caused blackbrown water from tapsshowers plus semifrequent elevator stoppages resulting in me being stuck once for 45 minutes And finally laundry costs are pricey 425 per load yet often ineffective 2 dryers leaving clothes dampLiving at Campus1 requires resilience more ... hide ...

It has been 6 years since I moved into my building and it used to be great Everything was orderly and maintained well the lights worked in public areas no garbage lying around and there was even a concierge service on site However ever since CapReit took over management of the building everything has gone downhill The lobby is now without lights making it tricky to access mail boxes with their tiny keys in the dark Also the garbage bins in the basement are often filled to overflowing with debris blocking emergency exits No more concierge services either so if you lose your keys you better have generous friends or money for a hotel room Heat is included in rent but only 18C which I find too cold so Im running an electric heater all the time bathroom isn't heated at all either as cold air comes through vents making it unbearable when using them Despite complaining three times about apartment heat nothing has been done so this must be what they expect us to live with As for repairs Three weeks ago there was a nasty smell coming from my closet after moving some shelves turns out there was water damage causing a bad odour which has gotten into all my clothes Fortunately an offsite concierge came by just then to inform me that my lease was up and rent being increased she really saved me from having to go into office thanks lady She made report about water damage in both my closet and entrance but almost three weeks more ... hide ...

I was given a 0star ranking due to the atrocious service repair and maintenance from the Capreit rental office on Benny Crescent Montreal The machine for charging laundry carts is broken so you cannot wash your clothes The parking waiting lists were misplaced initially then an incomplete list was found They have no idea who even has a parking spot so forget 2022-09-29T09:02:18Z
I was given a 0star ranking due to the atrocious service repair and maintenance from the Capreit rental office on Benny Crescent Montreal The machine for charging laundry carts is broken so you cannot wash your clothes The parking waiting lists were misplaced initially then an incomplete list was found They have no idea who even has a parking spot so forget about having one after two years even if they promise Their records are fake and nobody will give you a reasonable answer to any questions They never solve anything and always try to postpone it for example when the kitchen drain clogged we had to wait four days for it to be fixed I am leaving this apartment without hesitation and would not advise anyone else renting from Capreit buildings Ive lived in this same building over 6 years but since FDL sold it to Capreit everything has changed drastically My lease was renewed last year but this time around I wont be doing that if you have other options available then do not consider renting from Capreit buildings more ... hide ...
