No response has been made yet to my grievances The customer service of this firm is unprofessional and they do not carry out the needed maintenance I cannot endorse the East wing of the 3rd floor at 625 Beverly Street Firstly the HVAC system does not operate well oven range fans draw in smoke from flats below Secondly humidity fills up in the laundry room and after informing management leaving open door was proposed which let humid air drift into corridor making it incredibly hot and smelly too Lastly parking lot is dim relative to other buildings nearby two out of two lights are not working either The Property Manager from 2022 Thunder Bay Region has acted very unprofessionally my emails were disregarded until I threatened to review it online and escalate issue to head office then he replied within an hour with a false assurance for a fan delivery in one week but its been more than four weeks now without any arrival more ... hide ...

I have stayed at many different cottages but this one was undoubtedly the worst Even after some renovations the building still looks outdated The rooms are cramped and there is not a single hanger for our clothing Furthermore there are four beds that barely fit into each room The customer service is terrible and there arent any instructions for anything in t 2022-10-27T15:02:19Z
I have stayed at many different cottages but this one was undoubtedly the worst Even after some renovations the building still looks outdated The rooms are cramped and there is not a single hanger for our clothing Furthermore there are four beds that barely fit into each room The customer service is terrible and there arent any instructions for anything in the house only the stove works in the kitchen area There is no cleaning equipment which is why it was incredibly dirty with dead mosquitos scattered around however nothing could prepare us for how bad it smelled Even taking a shower or using the washroom smelled like sewage we had to pay to use an outside camping areas facilities instead It was clear they were only interested in making money because we left as soon as possible due to its condition more ... hide ...

In June I signed the lease for a new apartment which my girlfriend and I were eager about Sadly we experienced bug bites less than a month after moving in We are clean people who did not bring these nuisances with us at first we did not even think they were bedbugs because we never actually saw them When we asked if there was any bedbug infestation in the building and ought to be concerned they told us an untruth and that became our last straw To break the lease I had to fight as they wanted me to pay 2700 After much debate I managed to have this fee dropped but their communication with me was poor all along Even now that I have already moved out three months ago they are still demanding 150 for an electricity bill from when I initially signed the lease but hadnt yet moved in fully although it totaled only 37 This truly made me angry since during final inspection the landlord said that room had been cleared of bedbugs beforehand while multiple other rooms were given pest notices with no actions being taken to stop its spread zero stars from me Never would rent from Boardwalk ever again more ... hide ...

Having lived in these buildings for a dozen years there isn't much positive to say about the experience Initially the building managers seemed responsive friendly and genuinely good people However following that first year everything changed competent managers were replaced by a couple who ran it like their own little kingdom demanding rent in cash on the second of each month and making threatening phone calls in response to work orders Moreover they blamed repairs on new tenants and Homestead didnt take action despite receiving multiple complaints because it saved them money by never spending a dime on the place The current managers are just as hard to deal with They don't address serious issues such as mouldy windows or loose carpets but we suspect one of them was entering our unit uninvited and going through our stuff mainly electronics and drawers Additionally they spread lies about me having anger issues Other problems include getting rent receipts yearly being a hassle parking situation is mismanaged elevators bring you to wrong floor often doors wont move due to poor wheelchair devices pool preCOVID not cleaned well or openedclosed randomly COVIDleash policies not enforced at all I could go on but theres character limit here My advice avoid these buildings unless you have no other choice particularly considering how much theyre charging for rent now double what I paid for an apartment thats nowhere near worth it more ... hide ...
