Ive been staying in this apartment for 3 years and the staff is very friendly However I was annoyed to find out that smoking indoors was allowed despite the fact that there are families with children living in the building Its understandable to permit smoking outside on the property although it still affects those in higher floors due to drifting smoke coming through windows Allowing smoking within individual units where ventilation is shared among residents made no sense at all When I moved in I noticed a strong smell of smoke coming into not only my room but also my toddlers bedroom The scent of cigarette smoke lingered throughout the hallways and stairwells too so everyone was exposed to it one way or another Management said they couldnt do anything since they don't have rules against indoor smoking yet thus I had to purchase air purifiers for every room just so we can avoid secondhand smoke exposure as much as possible After 3 years of living here and now that I am about to move out coincidentally they have recently announced a policy prohibiting smoking both inside and outside their premises starting 2022 If this came into effect when I first moved here my rating would be 4 stars staff is nice community is friendly units are good with builtin laundry area is decent though those near railroad tracks may experience occasional disturbance from passing trains rent price is okayish But since it took them 3 YEARS before taking any action on this matter and only after more ... hide ...
