It is important to note that not all buildings are the same when it comes to reviews I have seen an effort from management to improve issues from previous years like fewer security concerns with staircase dwellers and car breakins better upkeep of the building and updated laundry facilities This has caused me to increase my one star review from before However the 2021 situation is still dire crime and slum living are rampant at these buildings due to inadequate security measures My husbands car was broken into in January garage doors remain open and door knobs are broken so FOB systems are useless The renovations create constant noise pollution as well as pet owners allowing their animals to urinate near elevators or on carpets Lowering crime rates would require installing video cameras around the parking areas since the underground parking layout at 440 McMurchy can be dangerous due to close quarters and blind spots where violence can occur Despite no liability for damage or theft in cars I still feel unsafe living there due its high price tag with no assurance of safety or peace of mind so where is the security more ... hide ...

This buildings quality and conditions have taken a huge dive Don't bother wasting your time here there is an ongoing roach infestation that has been present for over eighteen months Though I was told its a unitspecific problem the same issue is occurring across four floors with six people affected so I am doubtful about this explanation During the summer months I saw pest control here nearly every week for two months and my place has been sprayed over half a dozen times This process requires you to empty all cupboards in both your kitchen and washroom which makes living conditions very difficult as you cant cook properly or even relax in your own living room due to all of your items being packed away The sprays used arent toxic to humans but they do cause irritation children may have respiratory problems or burning eyes due to exposure Management doesnt do their job either expect an ultimatum of three days notice before they come otherwise youll be charged for any untidiness found at that point in time To get alternative treatment feels like pulling teeth since you need to go through the property manager rather than directly contacting the pest control company itself Furthermore amenities are not kept up well either gym equipment is outdated while the billiards rooms windows cannot open making it stuffy inside and the swimming pool isn't even clean Kaneff needs to take more responsibility for these buildings what happened here is unacceptable These photos were taken from my hallway and more ... hide ...

I have resided in this spacious new apartment complex for over half a year now and can say that it is great Access to bike trails and stores is convenient the management is very friendly and there is always someone on duty at the front desk for security Although it is somewhat on the pricier side when compared to other properties its quality makes up for it
