I resided at Platform for two years July 2020August 2022 and looking back I wouldnt recommend it Had I known in advance the standard of experience Id have searched for a different complex nearby even if it meant paying more Safety and security were problematic in many ways my bike was stolen while locked on the community bike rack which happened to many tenants Card readers elevators and parking gates were frequently broken or out of service Halfway through my tenancy shoring was placed on all balconies with no subsequent work being done as of October 2022 This likely relates to structural issues but this has not been confirmed Management did nothing to address any of these matters across the whole complex My toilet was broken throughout my stay needing fixing multiple times which maintenance only provided temporary solutions for ultimately I had to fix it myself several times and learn how to manage it when faulty The lease comes with extra fees plus unaskedfor programs such as Fetch which used to be a much better locker system package delivery system before its implementation during my first lease period Though amenities look attractive there are restrictions in place periodically like enforcing guest limits at the pool along with having guests check in with a security guard postCOVID19 pandemic additionally lounge access is only during leasing office hours making it inaccessible unless working from home something that never happened while living there due to this restriction alone The gym equipment is good but would easily break down or not more ... hide ...

This older complex has a great location but the new owners have been taken aback by the need for repair and maintenance Quick repairs are done but those involving pipes take longer It is best to be prepared with water bottles just in case Though some may think otherwise there are alternatives available to fix it permanently that just require some time The bugs in Texas arent too bad its been over 10 years since Ive seen any unless its very hot or raining for days on end The good news is the roaches here are palmetto bugs rather than German roaches which can bring disease and filth into everything an outside pile of leaves and rotting wood will attract them much more than living cleanly and using hormone based toxins wont make their presence known at all times In addition to all its trees this place also has trails woods waterfalls grills scattered throughout with easy access to different parts of town including Austin Community College and The Domain shopping center you wont find a better deal elsewhere Management is still learning how to handle things but the layout of apartments is great even if kitchen space isn't so generous Unfortunately pets arent allowed due to high fees though they do have a nice pet park full of friendly people who own dogs more ... hide ...
