Heed my warning and steer clear of 132 Berkeley Building Id give it zero stars if I could The management used to be better when I first moved in but then Mariama showed up and she never responds to emails Even for simple matters like fixing a closet rack that had fallen months ago her response was complete silence The same goes for other requests none of them were addressed She also doesnt appear to be very qualified for the job since she has difficulty with basic tasks like checking emails or providing simple responses And don't let her act of false niceness fool you because its all just a ploy to draw in new tenants instead of actually caring about those already living there Then theres Troy he is cold and apathetic person who wont even help you if youre dying on the floorWhen I initially signed my lease last year in May they had a promotion where two months were free however now that rent is regular price which comes out to around 2100 per month not including hydrowater Although this may not seem too bad for a one bedroom condo in Toronto keep in mind this is an apartment with no amenities and outdated appliances without any security measures whatsoever people come into the building at random Thankfully Im moving out next month but unfortunately the rent has been hiked up astronomically since then 2700 wo parking 2900 w more ... hide ...

Its not as bad as it seems the elevators and parking lot were upgraded within the past year and there have been no infestations reported Maintenance leaves something to be desired thoughthe windows are too large for some rooms and it takes forever for the maintenance man to show up during a pandemic which is understandable Fortunately any problems that could become detrimental have been taken care of mold in my bedroom broken door additionally the building is regularly cleaned by a friendly woman Unfortunately many tenants disregard maskwearing rules even though immunocompromised residents are put at risknotices put up by management get torn down immediately Despite this issue I don't feel unsafe because of other tenants The hallways remain clean and both balconies and elevators are stable Pros include being close to workplacesbusesamenities cons include uncooperative tenants and sometimes maintenance staff All things considered Im pleased with my living situation since December 2019its clean with a roof over my head plus Marda or Metcap don't own it more ... hide ...
