Reading this review before signing any lease is highly recommended I have multiple friends who haveare living in this building and can share their experiences Firstly the pictures are a combination of two buildings which represent the best of both Secondly prices for each room range from 750 800 may be subject to increase Additionally this building isn't protected by Ontario rent control laws since it was completed after 2018 thus the landlord raises rent regularly by 50100 every 6 or 12 months Laundry costs 3 per wash and 3 for drying machines which could be considered expensive Theres no air conditioning unit included so you must bring your own or purchase one if asking landlord to install it then an extra 100 is charged The ACs in common areas kitchens hallways are off so heatwave can be felt upon entering lobby area Its not only students that live here but some adults too along with families and people with mentalbehavioral issues as reported by one of my friends on his floor A mini fridge is also necessary as some tenants have been known to steal dish soap or food from communal fridges despite security cameras being present everywhere something worth noting Kitchens arent always kept clean either due to tenants leaving belongings dishes in sink for days cleaning usually done once a week by landlord or cleaner Parking isn't free either at 100 per month added onto your rent fee The building is located more ... hide ...

Living in Oceanside or any other property owned by Mike Cavanaugh is a frightening prospect If you are someone who enjoys being threatened yelled at extorted and taken advantage of then this building is the one for you The owner and property manager are unprofessional and lack basic education when it comes to tenants rights as laid out in the residential tenancy acts They will attempt to overcharge you force repair bills on you without conducting proper inspections or maintaining the building You can also forget about getting 24 hours notice before they enter your unit theyll do it whenever they please without your consent This was undoubtedly my worst rental experience ever I had to fight tooth and nail just to get back my damage deposit despite being well within my rights according to the residential tenancy act Mike and Wendy will make sure that this rental experience will be something that you never forget more ... hide ...

My girlfriend and I had been living in the same place for five years when we decided to purchase a house We had been told by the building manager that all we needed to do was clean the oven and fridge before leaving However afterwards I received a letter from Skyline saying I must pay 2700 for replacing the carpet due to pet odour We were informed that it would be replaced regardless of its condition On top of this my bike and motorcycle were both stolen while living there and the security door could easily be opened with just a screwdriver The walls ceilings and doors are very thin so if youre okay with hearing loud arguments between couples crying babies or elderly people blasting Family Feud on full volume then this might be your ideal home away from home but it isn't mine For everyone elses sake stay far away from here more ... hide ...
