I would rate my experience at 0/5. Reviews don't lie; it was the worst ever. Spending a freezing winter in my "heat included" apartment with my child was unbearable. It's concerning to think about how the elderly residents here have been treated by Capreit – so unethically. My own apartment (209) has had water damage since I moved in, and now they want me to cooperate with them in fixing it as soon as my lease is up! All this time, they've been coming up with excuses for it not being taken care of. Cockroaches everywhere, and I have to pay out of pocket for extermination even when I put in service requests! It's become quite disgusting living here. They worked on the underground spaces for months but we didn't get any parking discounts while having to park elsewhere! Fire alarms are extremely loud; feels like living in an institution almost. And packages keep getting stolen outside – there should be better systems implemented (like a mailroom?). Save yourself from all this hassle and rent another place that offers more amenities for roughly the same cost as here! People working for Capreit need to raise their standards too – tenants all over Toronto are suffering due to their terrible treatment of them! Check I would rate my experience at 0/5. Had I read the reviews beforehand, I wouldn't have rented the place in a time crunch. Despite the lobby and common areas being nice, living there and safety was below any standard. To mention a few of my issues: cockroaches, extremely cold windows (which are not suitable for families with children), water shut off at least once or twice per month, sketchy people roaming around the building, walking from underground parking to building is scary due to an open gap that's exposed to public and heavy doors that do not open automatically (especially difficult if you have stroller) plus secondhand smoke coming from neighbor who's a chain smoker. Management mostly responded well when emailed but had one unpleasant experience upon move-out; however they apologized afterwards. Find somewhere else as it is not worth your money.
