I'm perplexed by the unfavorable ratings; it appears people anticipate a modern building, yet this one was constructed in 1967. No, it shouldn't be demolished - who would even think that? Yes, it's aged - but what's wrong with that? There are many occupants here who have resided here for numerous years. True, the lobby could use a facelift - no doubt; however, the apartments themselves are wonderful. I've never spotted a single cockroach in my five years residing here which leads me to speculate where that opinion emerged from. Yes, you can discern your neighbors cooking aromas in the hallways like most apartment buildings. It is an inexpensive alternative to other downtown apartments so I'm again unsure of where that comment originated from. If you desire brand new then this isn't your place. Elevators are sluggish, no dishwashers and shared laundry machines in the basement. If you desire large apartments with expansive balconies overlooking Victoria Park, expansive windows and gorgeous original wood floors plus huge bedrooms within walking distance to great restaurants & stores then this is for you!
