The experience at the Lucerne building has been dreadful in the past year Ive been here The apartments are nice and spacious but thats about it The building and units are very outdated not well kept up and the water from the sink is brown and undrinkable even when filtered Support from within is terrible a fridge stopped working for 8 hours with no response 2022-10-21T10:32:18Z
The experience at the Lucerne building has been dreadful in the past year Ive been here The apartments are nice and spacious but thats about it The building and units are very outdated not well kept up and the water from the sink is brown and undrinkable even when filtered Support from within is terrible a fridge stopped working for 8 hours with no response or followup then storage lockers were broken into with no repair for 4 days leaving items exposed To make matters worse rain causes floods throughout the entire building with no emergency support available tenants had to wait until morning to contact someone while their belongings were ruined by water coming through all four floors After this was fixed another light rain caused even worse flooding than before due to inadequate weathering of ceilings in order to handle rain and electrical wiring issues still present due to lack of support from Smith Agency All of this makes it highly unlikely that I would ever recommend this building or any managed by Smith Agency more ... hide ...

Living in Fred Douglas Place for the past 10 years has been one of the best choices of my life People may think downtown living is unsafe but I feel secure and have enjoyed exploring various destinations such as entertainment spots museums The University of Winnipeg restaurants and theatres The Skywalk provides access to medical offices professional offices retail stores and food courts indoors which is especially convenient on cold winter days My home is a one bedroom suite on an upper floor with a semicircular sunroom that overlooks northwest area at night I am mesmerized by all the city lights and can even observe planes landing or taking off from the airport Residents form a tight knit community herealways supportive and caring towards each other This building also has excellent management and maintenance staff which makes it stand out from other apartmentcondolife lease buildings Additionally there are many activities available on our Amenities Floor such as library sessions preCOVID parties movies etc plus we have a fantastic gym open 7 days a week for residents to use My friends family agree that I couldnt have chosen a better place to live than Fred Douglas Place more ... hide ...
