The location is great and the caretaker is fantastic however the price for a twobedroom apartment is too high and there isn't even a dishwasher Manitoba has forbidden rent increases during Covid times up until 2022 and 2023 due to tenants tax credit given to Globe by the government yet they have increased it annually by 510 instead of the RTB average of 152 There were no renovations or work done on the building apart from regular maintenance so there was no justification for doing so Suits get painted after tenants move out this cost should come from damage deposits and be built into higher prices for next tenants however Globes are passing on this charge to current residents Theyll try to say that higher floor apartments need more money because of better amenities newer updates but in reality those same floorhigher ones rent at lower costs When asked how much consideration was given to tax credits sent by government belonging to tenants questions were dodged with no answer provided This money will likely be used for work on building subsequently lead to further hikes in rent which we already paid for The new manager seems nice but she works under Globes instructions ethically questionable as they manipulate loopholes etc I love living here but must move as soon as possible because of unethical practices like these more ... hide ...

I have been living at 50 Edgewood Estates for about a month now and its no exaggeration to say that Im in luxury units From my unit I get a stunning view which family and friends have dubbed a million dollar view All the rooms have great views throughout the day due to the large windows that let in natural light The layout of my unit is spacious and the kitchen is designed so well that I never feel cramped Additionally theres concrete between each floor so noise from neighbors isn't an issue its like living in complete peace The lobby and hallways are always clean and tidy as is the garbage area My experience with rental office staff has been nothing but positive theyve gone aboveandbeyond to accommodate me and my partner whenever needed Furthermore all of my fellow tenants are kind and neighborly theres also plenty of diversity here too Lastly safety isn't an issue since security keeps watch over the entrance on camera 247 perfect for me as someone with a family In short if youre considering moving into this building then I would highly recommend it based on my personal experience here Attached are some photos taken from different views within my unit since October when I moved in when the weather started changing drastically more ... hide ...
