This building is appalling do not be lured in by the promise of living in a real castle and sign a lease here Ive been living here for less than a year and during that time the building managementmaintenance has had multiple changes each being less efficient than the last Upon moving in it was absolutely filthy there were liquified onions in the fridge crisper drawer nicotine stains on the shutters and some kind of orangebrown residue on the toilet tank but I was told to clean it all myself because my predecessor moved out one day late and they didnt have enough time before I arrived Also there was an ancient stove which posed a securityfire hazard with scorch marks around its edges that didnt seal when closed plus insulation pulled out likely by rodents they looked at it but never followed up afterward Despite me reporting this multiple times verbally written nothing has been done about replacing it yet so I often burn myself as all surfaces get hot when oven or burner is switched on if something was leaning against it then setting alight would be possible When you report issues and there will be many youll just get sneering comments implying youre unreasonable or stupid for example when a mouse appeared I couldnt keep any sealed boxes of pasta on pantry shelves as apparently this attracted them they refused to look into pest control options other than poison bait which took 2 weeks to work more ... hide ...

Ive been living here for seven years and remain Although it isn't the best it has improved since what it was before Cockroaches are in almost every building in the Hamilton area however I don't have an abundance of them and I rarely see any Mice don't bother me either although they used to have bedbugs the management got rid of them by evicting those tenants 2022-11-10T03:02:18Z

Rent in this building is quite low yet few amenities are present Heating works fine during winter but there is no AC or cooling system Air quality can be bad due to secondhand smoke permeating the area and only minimal storage space available in the basement The laundry facility includes 4 washers and 4 dryers however Coinmatic operated machines often break 2022-09-28T17:32:17Z
Rent in this building is quite low yet few amenities are present Heating works fine during winter but there is no AC or cooling system Air quality can be bad due to secondhand smoke permeating the area and only minimal storage space available in the basement The laundry facility includes 4 washers and 4 dryers however Coinmatic operated machines often break down Tenants have access to both outdoor and limited indoor parking although guest parking is scarce Cleanliness of common areas and backyard is acceptable but tenants tend to be untidy thus leaving the superintendent with extra cleaning tasks The superintendent himself is friendly and efficient at addressing most pressing repairs however older apartments need a serious renovation as flooring consists of poor quality vinyl while builtin furniture has been painted over multiple times Balconies also require an update with rusty metal needing replacement for safety reasons Its also worth noting that this neighbourhood can be unsafe at times as well as being rarely quiet more ... hide ...

This place has bedbugs and management does not take the residents into consideration The heat was delayed in being turned on until almost midOctober instead of September and there is continuous construction in the units which may be intended to raise rents from 800 to 1050 When tenants get bedbugs and their furniture gets damaged they are not allowed to throw it out because there are no dumpsters available Superintendents and Skyline manage this complex like a military camp rather than a home for which people are paying top dollar beware of their negative attitude towards residents Its clear that Skyline is a capitalist corporation driven by profits more ... hide ...

We moved in this spring and were informed that the apartment was already cleaned and all repairs taken care of unfortunately this was not the case Cupboards and kitchen had crumbs left in them food caked on the oven dishwasher and stove very unsanitary Many fixes still need to be done to our place but it is incredibly irritating that this wasnt done even af 2022-10-06T13:32:17Z

I never intended to write this review but I realize that I must Skyview Hawk Apartments at 655 Mohawk Rd East Hamilton ON deserves no stars for their service and treatment of us as tenants We resided there for several years and were good tenants yet we had to put up with a great deal of issues such as mould that was never addressed or compensated for cockroaches hidden under the guise of inspection notices fleas an ant problem and invasive landlords who continually asked for personal information violating our privacy rights Whenever we attempted to address any of these concerns they managed to make us feel that it was our fault in order to avoid having to actually address the problem ourselves To save yourself from distress and frustration do not live here it is a terrible nightmare you cannot wake up from more ... hide ...
