Im a USMC veteran and I want to provide an honest and impartial opinion on my experience living in the Elmwood Village apartments I lived there for two and a half years before recently moving When I moved in rent was 1540 per month but it had increased to 1670 by the time I left Low security deposits were an attractive feature of this apartment complex The manager Mohini was great to talk with however customer service overall wasnt that good since they hardly picked up the phone and the office is only staffed by three or four people including her When it comes to neighbors some smoked weed near my unit which made it difficult even when windows were closed however most of them were quiet like we wanted Parking was challenging because NJ has so many drivers even when streets allow parking from 9am5pm during weekdays there are often people taking up multiple spaces or leaving their driveways empty despite having enough room for multiple cars Additionally street cleaning is enforced every day from 9am5pm in certain areas so you need to move your car daily if you park on those streets The apartment complex offers parking for an additional cost of 100month behind buildings however cars can still be towed despite people parking anywhere they want lately with no consequence As for maintenance staff coming into units without warning after requesting assistance or taking naps during their shiftthis happened at times unfortunately but they did not give us a courtesy call beforehand
