This was without a doubt the WORST place I have ever rented in my travels around the world The rent was four times higher than city guidelines my apartment car and storage locker were broken into multiple times there were no security cameras or maintenance construction was ongoing requests for basic maintenance were ignored Furthermore the laundry facilities cost more than regular laundromats and the hallways had a foul smell of urine and feces with homeless people sleeping in staircases Additionally the garage flooded due to being unsecured For an equal price elsewhere I could have rented a penthouse downtown with builtin laundry theatre and doorman as well as secure parking and a dog grooming station all at 1080 Scarborough which has high insurance ratings but none of these benefits here Thankfully after moving out my life improved drastically I feel sorry for anyone who falls into their traps like I did as it would be truly miserable Its surprising that this building hasnt been shut down yet by LTB more ... hide ...

Having lived here for four years the property management company is definitely terrible They try to dodge responsibility and blame others for any issue that arises As an example ceilings have fallen in some units and black mold has been plastered over instead of getting to the root of the problem When my girlfriend moved in she was given a front door that had been kicked in and couldnt even lock properly they promised it would be replaced by then but it never was Consequently I had to stay with her for months until it was fixed so she wouldnt be at risk living alone Were not the only couple forced together because of this companys negligence we know many other couples whove experienced similar issues with criminal tenants or attempted home invasions with no action taken by property management Although I may sound like a conspiracy theorist I think GreenwinStarlight purposely avoid dealing with these problems so people move out and they can raise their prices again every year more ... hide ...

It is only fair that I give this review as I have experienced both better and worse living situations This building can be improved from bad to three or four star if they install strong intact building doors and have security in charge On the lower levels there are no issues with the elevator however it can become pretty busy in the evenings The water leak that happened over the past couple of months and yesterday is concerning hopefully this will encourage the landlord to invest more money into having clean tenants like myself who do not have any cockroach issues because I keep my space tidy and do not leave food or dirt out They deserve a star for being pet friendly and another for their close proximity to public transport as well as all of the stores in a plaza nearby For tenants to get a decent experience they must stay clean and not be lazy landlords need to improve security measures by fixing building doors preventing water leaks and upgrading units with paint jobs all whilst remembering rent payments are important but so is safety strangers knocking on doors at 2am should not be acceptable for single people or couples looking for peace and quiet more ... hide ...

Living in this apartment was a terrible experience I wouldnt recommend it to anyone Not only was I not able to live comfortably I was disrespected and threatened by the landlord on multiple occasions Though they promote luxury units there were many issues such as loose floor tiles scratched countertops and more that werent fitting of luxe living Assistance with the unit itself took a long time to come and no specific dates were given for repairs All in all I would not suggest living here the manager will go out of their way to cause you inconvenience like issuing tickets for cars parked in visitors spots even though visitors don't have to register their cars ahead of time On top of all this they even went so far as to threaten involving child services if need be It felt like a fight just for basic respect and communication every time I needed something done in my apartment never feeling relaxed at home more ... hide ...
